This place is a lot of fun you will not believe how amazing the Harry Potter ride is. I hate the movies and I hate the books but I honestly have to rate it the top attraction in Orlando Florida I had a blast.

The Amazing Spiderman ride is just "Amazing" - absolutely loved it. The Harry Potter Forbidden Journey ride is absolutely awesome! Would definitely go on them again.

“Good time but plan ahead...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013

We were staying at a Disney resort and hired a shuttle van to take us from there to Universal. They were good and got us there early. We visited the park on 4th of July week so we knew it would be busy and hot. We got there about 15 minutes before park opening. We were planning to run straight over to the Harry Potter section of the park first before it got busy. Our driver suggested that we visit the rest of the park first and visit Harry Potter later around two. I am so glad we didn't because we only waited about 30 minutes to ride the Forbidden Journey ride. (which was fantastic!) By two o clock there was a two hour wait for that ride. Unlike Disney you have to pay extra to get a fast pass and it was quite a bit of money so we didn't buy it. The waits were very long at most rides by lunch time.

The park is very attractive and set up in different sections. Dr. Seuss land was really cute but we didn't have any little ones with us. We were able to get on the Amazing Spiderman, the Hulk, the Jurassic Park river ride and Harry Potter all before lunch time. Unfortunately the weather was bad and thunderstorms came in and they closed most of the rides. We went to see a Sinbad show while waiting for our return ride but it was terrible! Don't bother with that show. If you get there early you should be able to get on all the rides you like without much of a wait. Overall we loved the Harry Potter and Jurassic sections of the park and we had a good time there.

“....and this is why I have a season pass.....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013

I'll be upfront - I adore Universal. I have a small condo in Orlando and got the season pass. Free parking. Discounts on food and purchases. Free Halloween Horror night pass. Did I say there was free parking?

Islands of Adventure sports the Harry Potter section which is awesome. I will say, the old Dueling Dragons ride which has been converted into Dragon Challenge is still the best. Alas, it used to be that both coasters would leave at the same time....until some idiot decided that it was a good idea to throw stuff at the opposing people in the other coaster. Yes, so now we all suffer.

The Hog's Head tavern has the best beer in the park - real beer from a tap, anything from Guinness to cider. No more butter bombs, though. (Butter beer ( a sweet carbonated drink, reminiscent of cream soda) with a shot. Evidently Ms Rowling didn't think it was proper. I'd say that she never read her own books.....) Food is okay - if you want REALLY good food, get something at City Walk.

The cutest kids park of all time is the Dr. Seuss section. The Super Heroes section hosts the Hulk coaster and the newly revamped Spider Man ride. Look closely and you'll see Stan Lee in cartoon form - indeed, he did some narration for the new voice over for the ride.

Jurassic Park - splendid flume ride. Dudley Do-Right, an even bigger flume ride with a funny double bump at the end. I can go on and on.

Just don't go during peak - and if you do, invest in a fast pass. And all those people wearing plastic ponchos so they don't get wet on the rides? They're missing the point.
