“Great hotel but not enough time!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

I recently visited Orlando for a work conference and was allocated a room at our 'overflow hotel'. The daily commute to our main conference hotel was a pain but I was able to relax in comfort at the RC.

The bed was very good, the room spacious and well equipped, and the bathroom expansive. I would say 'just like home' but I would be lying! The staff could not have been more helpful either, especially when I called the Front Desk at 01.30 to report a disturbance in the corridor outside my room.

Thanks for a lovely stay.

Room Tip: 961 faces the front of the hotel, it's quiet and has a nice balcony.

This is a great property. Lots of space, neat pool area, excellent bar, Normans restaurant, JW Marriott next door and an adjacent golf course.
That said, the thing that sets this hotel apart for me is great service.
All the staff are very helpful and genuinely courteous.
Location is a little far out from attractions which makes driving necessay but also keeps the property quiet.
Big convention hotel so stay away if you don't like that,

I was in room 109 and
It Was perfect. Spacious, near the lobby but quiet. Too bad I was only there two days. The spa is fabulous. I had a manicure waxing, waxing and a Arnica foot rub ...didn't want to leave since I was so relaxed when I left.

Nothing terrible happened on our second stay at this hotel but I expect things to go much smoother at a five star property.

There is no acknowledgement of Platinum status or upgrades for either Ritz Carlton Platinum or FHR CC holders.

The rooms could use an update but are adequate. They are a reasonable size and the furnishings are comfortable.

Having used valet on a prior stay and finding it incredibly slow, we chose to self-park. The lot is far too small and the machine was broken so exiting the lot was a horrible process (if you could even get anyone to answer). The hotel acknowledged that it was not working properly but instead of fixing it or sending out an attendant, they encouraged valet parking instead.

Housekeeping barely existed for our room. Toiletries were never replaced.

The bill was not correct at the end of the stay. This often happens to us at Ritz Carlton properties (though very rarely at Marriott Hotels).

The club lounge saves this hotel. The staff there is so kind and the food presentations are well above average. Beware of the kids section though - during both of our stays there were little bugs all over the food.

Room Tip: The club lounge is well worth the upgrade

Thank you for your feedback on your recent visit to the resort. I want to apologize for the challenges that you experienced during your time with us. There are no excuses for the valet issues, the housekeeping issues and billing challenges. Your feedback is very important to us and I have already shared your remarks with my team. If you have the time I would really like the opportunity to speak with you directly.
Warmest Regards,
Jon McGavin

We stayed here for 4 nights. Great property with excellent location, golf course and lake. It was very well decorated as expected during holiday season. We drove from Atlanta to Orlando and drive was very smooth. Valet parking was not up to the standards expected from Ritz. Later in the evening and subsequent morning when we had to get our car, I had to wait for good 10-15 minutes and give them couple of reminders to get our car. This prompted me to subsequently do a self parking for next 3 days. This was probably the only sour point during our stay there. They really need to work on the valet parking response time.
Rooms were excellent. We have booked 2 rooms which were interconnected. Quite spacious with big bathrooms, mini bar/fridge and other furnitures as expected of Ritz. Room service was prompt. The Bleu bar is a nice place to relax after a long tiring day at various theme parks.
The best part was the buffet breakfast. This is a full service buffet breakfast with wait staff which is very attentive and prompt. Chef makes eggs of your choice and food selection is huge. we all loved and enjoyed eating breakfast here.

If you aren't in to typical Disney hotel and want some luxury this is the hotel for you...a short drive from the attractions but it feels like a luxury resort. They are smart enough to know that a majority of people staying here have children with them so they definitely cater to families. My daughters loved the food passport which got them free ice cream. I loved that it was connected to the JW Marriott so we could use their lazy river and restaurants yet return to the sanctity of the Ritz at the end of the day. Wonderful service as always and beautiful rooms as well...we would definitely return!

The hotel and the grounds are beautiful. The hotel was pretty busy, as it is a convention center. They also had a variety of children related entertainment given the holidays.

We had a lovely room on a high floor, having a balcony was also nice. We ate at 3 of the hotel restaurants and the food and service was good. Norman's was a nice treat, we chose to eat at the bar and had a great experience.

It would be wise for the hotel to incorporate the resort fee in the room rate, since we have no choice in paying it even when not using the premises. We happened to at the hotel during a cold spell and could not use the outside facilities. We inquired about using the steam room, however the hotel does not have one and they referred us to the spa which charges $30 per person per day for use of the spa facilities. That was disappointing.

Having read prior complaints about the valet situation we self parked and that worked for us as we were taking the car in and out several times during the day.
