“Home away from home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

Living and travelling throughout the mid-west, I frequently stay at Drury Inn hotels. This one is one of the best. The staff was outstanding, and the property is fantastic. The suites are spacious, and worth the extra price. The hotel is in a great location too, with easy access to the hotel, and the areas theme parks. And, if your going to the theme parks the hotel is just a 5 min. (tops) drive to Universal Studios (you litteraly take a left turn out of the parking lot, drive a quarter of a mile and make a right turn into the park), and 10 min. drive to Downtown Disney. If your heading to the beach your an easy one hour drive to Coco Beach on the Atlantic, or an hour and a half to Saint Petersburg on the Gulf. Also, the hotel is across the street from a Whole Foods store, which has a great cafe', and within a block from a number of restaurants. Again, great staff, very nice property, great location, and a great value. I'll definatly go back.

The room was really spacious and clean and the view from our room was awesome (top floor)! The breakfast provided was very good as well, variety is not great but considering the price of the stay in the hotel, I have no complains about the breakfast. Receptionists are very friendly and helpful! There's the Whole Foods nearby and a 7-11 just behind the hotel. What I like about the payment for the hotel is that I can pay in cash when checking in. Credit card details will be needed for the reservation of the room though.

My partner and i didn't rent a car, so basically getting around in Orlando was quite difficult. We took a Mears airport shuttle to the hotel, we were the second last to alight, so it took us about an hour to get from the airport to the hotel. We wanted to get to the Premium outlet at the International Drive using the iRide trolley. But we weren't sure where exactly the stop is and the receptionist said it was somewhere along the highway, so in order not to risk getting lost, we decided to take the receptionist's suggestion of getting a cab. She booked a cab for us and the fare was 12bucks flat to the outlet. I think the cabbie was really nice when he gave us a receipt and told us that we can call the number on the paper and request for him to pick us up from the outlet back to the hotel. It was another 12bucks flat back to the hotel.

I would definitely return to Drury during our next visit to Orlando and I will rent a car then.

An excellent experience from check in to check out. Check in to our pre paid room was straight forward, taking less than a minute & carried out by a very friendly receptionist. Our room on the 7th floor was very clean & the bathroom well fitted out and spotless. The shower was great. The free hot breakfast was very good as was the afternoon 'kickback' which included 3 free drinks and a decent snack buffet. The staff were very friendly at both the buffet and kckback. The pool was refreshing after a day spent shopping & the check out was as simple as the check in.

Highly recommended

I read all of the positive reviews before staying at this Drury Inn and am happy to report that they are all true! I stayed here with my wife and two children (11 and 8 years old) after long days at Disney and Sea World. The beds were WONDERFUL and the rooms were quiet even with high school groups staying on our hall. We never ran out of hot water even after four long showers; the TVs were great, wifi convenient, and the customer service was top-notch. I really like having a door to seperate the king suite from the kids; many hotels advertise a suite without informing that there is no clear seperation.

The breakfast, though, was the highlight. the Drury breakfast bar may be the best I've ever had, and I've stayed at numerous hotels across the world. Cold or hot, fruits or proteins, it's all there to please any picky eater. The hotel staff was constantly checking the dining area, too, so the food never ran low or got messy despite the crowds.

All in all, Drury exceeded expectations even AFTER reading the positive reviews. I'd definitely stay here again.

Stayed first night of our vacation direct from 9 hour flight, before heading to Gulf beaches. Location is close to Northern end of I-Drive, just off I-4 near Universal. Difficult to walk anywhere due to long waits at traffic lights at nearby road junction, but food and 3 drinks provided between 5.30 and 7 were pretty basic but welcome.
Room was large, modern and decently equipped, bed was comfortable and we slept as well as could be expected with jet lag. Breakfast was nothing fancy, but again welcome, and represents this budget option very well.
Personally would not choose to spend more than one night here, but for families and those on a budget it's a very good option.

Even sharing the hotel with high school seniors, my family found this hotel to be quiet and friendly. Rooms were big. Bathtub has shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in large soap dispensers. Plenty of hot water. Huge TVs in both rooms. Free Wifi. Hotel staff are friendly and responsive. The 5:30 p.m. snacks and drinks was good enough that we didn't bother finding a restaurant near by. Breakfast was awesome. Vicky took excellent care of us. We will definitely be back!

I stayed here for 1 week, and had to admit I was quite impressed with it overall. The hotel is new and extremely well maintained. Rooms are bigger and has free WIFI which works quite well. The hotel stuffs are super friendly, it was amazing to see Manager bonding with the people during Breakfast and evening snacks. Oh Did I mention they have manager's special at every evening, which includes wines as well?

Will definitely come back.
