Been here more than once. Loved the place. Smelled great, huge shop, big rooms and comfortable. Very clean . The only con of this hotel is that it is too cold in the summer. Other than that, I loved it. The pool is neat with the sand at the bottom ..

My Wife, Daughter and myself just returned from a fantastic week at Disney's Beach Club Villas.
This resort is located between EPCOT, a 5 minute walk, and Hollywood Studios, a 15-20 minute walk or 15 minute boat ride.
I highly recommend staying at an EPCOT area resort, as you take the Disney buses out of the equation for 2 of the parks.

CHECK-IN:
Was simple, a Cast Member greeted us at the Magic Express bus and walked us to the DVC Concierge. Our room was not ready and we left our carry-on bags with Bell Services and were on our way to Hollywood Studios in 15 minutes.

ROOM:
We reserved a Studio, which was adequate for the 3 of us. Our view was of the busy EPCOT resorts BLVD. The room was a basic hotel room, with a small kitchenette area.

POOL:
The pool is the best in any Disney resort. It is a huge, free-form pool with a sand bottom. The pool has a lazy river area and a great slide, which goes across the walkway around the lake. The only downside to the pool, is having to wait in line to get have your Magic Band checked to insure that you are in fact staying a the Beach or Yacht Club. We never had much trouble finding a table and chairs when we arrived, but I did see many towels saving chairs for guests who never arrived.

Overall, a great resort in a fantastic location, but my favorite EPCOT area resort is still the Boardwalk.

Room Tip: The DCV Villas are located behind the Beach Club resort buildings, when facing the resort from the l...

We're DVC members so we always stay at one of the DVC Villas. Our home resort is the Wilderness Lodge so we usually end up staying there, but over the years we've tried most of the other DVC resorts as well.

The Beach Club Villas is at the top of our favorites list. All of the rooms...whether studio, 1BR, 2BR, or 3BR are fairly similar among the DVC resort villas. Old Key West is a bit different since it was the very first DVC property but the other resorts are pretty similar in regard to rooms. What differentiates them is their location, their pool, and the theming of the resort.

These just have a great overall theme and feel, and what really sets them apart is the pool - Stormalong Bay, with it's real sand bottom. Very cool! Plus, the fact that the villas sit right next to the back entrance of Epcot, so it's very easy to just walk out of the resort and walk right into Epcot.

Definitely one of the best DVC resort properties!

Six of us, 3 adults and 3 children, were at WDW in August 2014. Our 2 bedroom villa was on the second follow. It had a balcony the length if the suite with a garden view. You could see the Frozen fireworks from the one edge. We had requested an upper floor but I loved this location. We could walk to Epcot in 10 minutes from our room. The kids loved the pools. The room was clean and well kept. We want to stay here again. I have seen some reviews saying it needs updated and I understand the villas will be refurbished. Fall 2014. The staff were great and we liked the marketplace. Also great restaurants on site. The kids loved the character breakfast and seafood buffet and beaches and cream is very popular. We also ate at the captains buffet for our last day breakfast...it was quiter than the cape may cafe

For me Beach Club is the place to stay for easy access to EPCOT. A quick 5-10 minute walk from the back entrance and about a 20-30 minute walk to Hollywood Studios. BC has the premier pool within Disney World plus you can take advantage of the things happening at the other lakeside resorts (Boardwalk, Yacht Club). The Villas also have a private pool which is very nice after a long day of crowds. There are also plenty of places to just sit and relax. The Villas are starting to show their age a bit especially in the hallways but in my opinion it just adds to the charm. Counter service dining is limited but that is an issue with all the Epcot Resorts. Cape May Café does provide a great place for a buffet whether with characters for breakfast or at the clam bakes during dinner. Do not skip Beaches & Cream....great desserts. This was our 3rd stay at the resort (2nd in the Villas) and have not had any issues yet. We are DVC members but this is not our home resort.

We are DVC members and decided to try out the Beach Club this time around. We are a family of 5 and got a 1 bedroom which included a king size bed in one room and a queen size pullout in the living room. We have stayed at Old Key West in the past and thought it would have the same layout but it was different. OKW has a chair that opens up to a twin size bed. I wish that the Beach Club also did, but it didn't so having a 5th person stay here was difficult. That is probably the only reason we would not stay here again. Other than that, the property is beautiful, clean and in close proximity to Hollywood Studios and Epcot. We walked to Hollywood Studios but it is longer than we expected and if you have small children, I wouldn't recommend walking...take the water taxi instead. Walking to Epcot was easy. The pool is beautiful and the slide is pretty fun for those with kids. The lazy river was also enjoyable. I would stay here again if we have 4 or less that are going.

As a DVC Member, this is my home resort.

The location is great. You have the Boardwalk and EPCOT within walking distance. After a day in another park, you can still walk over to EPCOT to watch the fireworks, have a drink and/or dessert in France. Between that and the shops/restaurants on the Boardwalk, you have a good selection and variety. Hollywood Studios is a longer walk or a boat ride away.

Since we don't rent a car and don't go off property, we ordered some groceries in advance (bottled water, gatorade, chips, etc), which were in the room when we arrived. It's pricey but a nice convenience.

The units are spacious - plenty of room in a one bedroom or two bedroom units. Full kitchens, nice sized bathrooms, and living/eating areas. TVs in the bedrooms and living area. Our unit was starting to show some wear and tear but it was clean and spotless. We never felt cramped and everyone could spread out.

The Wi-Fi was horrible, constantly dropping your connection. It was barely usable. We had iPads, Android phones, and windows laptops - all devices were having problems. Never had that problem with Wi-Fi before.

There is a main pool area/slides, which can get rather crowded but great for kids, and another quieter pool area in the Villas area. Stormalong Bay is great for kids (and adults who want to play like kids).

Beach Club Marketplace has counter service (limited meal selections - pizza/flatbread and a few sandwiches) and a wide selection of beverages and snacks. But it hits the spot when you want a snack. It can get rather crowded and hectic during meal times and in the evenings.

Plus with the meal plan you get a refillable mug for soft drinks/coffee/tea. The mugs now have a programmed chip in them, programmed for your length of stay.. The soda dispenser reads the chip to validate you are using a valid mug or it will not dispense soda. Guess there must have been abuse of the previous "on your honor" system.
