“Owner since 1994”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2012

Having been an owner since 1994 I have seen many changes at the Blue Tree Resort. It has always been very clean and the service has always been great. The resort is constantly upgrading interiors and exteriors. We have a 2 BR, 2 Bath with jacuzzi, full size Washer and Dryer and screened porch on the second floor overlooking pool #2 which also has the kiddie pool. This is a nice and small fantastic place on 16 acres with plenty to do. My family which includes four (4) children have great memories from our stays at Blue Tree. The Resort is divided between two entities. The original owners and Westgate properties. My advise is DON'T stay on the Westgate portion of the property. Enjoy.

Room Tip: Stay in a two bedroom, two bath Deluxe Suite.

We own a Westin timeshare and exchanged it through Interval International for a one week stay here for our family trip to Disney world.
The complex is older and looked it. We had a one bedroom suite. It was older and not updated. The appliances in the kitchen were old. The bathroom tub did not drain. The whole apartment had a musty smell. It was generally clean but the corners had been missed while cleaning.
The staff was excellent and responded promptly to all our needs.
We had to get them to spray the apartment to lessen the smell and had them come out and drain the tub.
We didn't spend a lot of time in the apartment so it was ok but we were disappointed with the apartment.
The shuttle service was good and convenient but we wished they had better timings during the day for departures and returns.

Room Tip: make sure the rooms don't have a musty smell.

You can tell that this resort has been around for quite some time. I was upset that there were no elevators. If you are on a top floor, you will struggle getting large luggage up the stairs.
The unit was nice and comfortable, but because of thin ceiling and floors, we constantly heard the family above us walking, running and jumping in their unit. If you go during a busy season (I was there from 12/25/11 - 1/1/12), parking's not the best. The exercise room is very old and I almost injured myself on a treadmill that constantly slipped. The activities were ok, but it would have been nice to participate in some of them without having to pay (like playing Wii). The staff is very nice and the location of the resort was great. Will not be my first choice when I go back to Orlando, but I'll keep the phone number handy if I can't find any other place to stay.

Room Tip: Stay on a top floor if you don't want to deal with 'noisy' neighbors. There is only one...

Geboekt via booking. Com. Worden in stinkend appartement gestopt. Veel plastic bloemen. Kachel/ airco kapot. Na klagen in moderner appartement. Moeten veel bijbetalen. Beter. Blijft ouderwets. Krakend bed. Tuinen Goed onderhouden. Veel rondrijdende security .

The grounds at this resort were well cared for and the rooms in the buildings are modern and with granite and stainless steel appliances are sharp as well as effective. If this place was on the coast it would be even better. But for a Disney vacation it was great.
There are many activities each day provided by the resort, movie night by the pool 2 nights a week and twice in the movie room. Brand new basketball court and tennis court. Horseshoes, volleyball,
or put put golf. Over half mile run around resort, which helped since we did 5k at Disney. Also those doing activities were superb in how they handled their job. Our kids loved it there. Everyone was friendly and also there is a shuttle to parks and back each day.

Okay first of all no one sunk a nail into this place since 1980! West Gate bought this old run down apartment complex out of foreclosure for a nickel on the dollar and called it a resort.
We have stayed with Westgate facilities before many times and we have had many good experiences. I almost can't believe this place is part of West Gate, it's that bad!!
I am currently staying in a two bedroom villa, sounds nice but I can assure you the entire place is a dump. The rate i am paying is $188 per night, thank god its only for two nights. The TV in the main bedroom is a 20" flat screen mounted in the corner of the room high on the wall like a hospital. Both bathrooms are filthy and very outdated. No washer or dryer in the two bedroom villa?! I have stayed in studio size time shares for way less money and have had both.
The entire place has a musty smell, the dishwasher and appliances are 10-15 years old. Overall this is a very bad place to stay, avoid this facility at all costs.

Please note we are SPM Blue Tree Resort and not Westgate Blue Tree. There are two seperate companies that are run autonomously from each other on the resort. You stayed in one of the Westgate buildings. Next time when you are in Orlando stay with us, SPM Blue Tree and enjoy one of our new renovated units and experience our wonderful staff.

we own a timeshare here, so were using our week, we were very happy with our stay, we had the 2 bedroom executive. It was very clean, smelled good, had been newly renovated with granite counter tops new stainless steel appliances. the beds were comfortable. the place is smaller and quieter than many of the resorts in the area, which is what we really like, the pools were crystal clear, there were 4 of them all but one were very warm like bath water. we spent alot of time in them with our two kids ages 5 and 10. there were only two hot tubs which were nice also, I wish each pool had a hot tub, cause the pool nearest to our room did'nt have one and that would of been really nice, Our internet was awful the first couple days. but after the owners mee and greet meeting we and others mentioned that this was a real pain in the butt. they called their internet service right away and it was improved hugely, we did'nt have any problems after that. I noticed some patios were fairly large, mayby they were the deluxe? but ours was tiny only two chairs and a tiny table would fit, this was not so nice for me cause I love to spend time outside having my coffee. But all in all my husband and I are very pleased that we bought here, and look forward to coming back. very nice resort, with great friendly service!
