We stayed Jan 13-18 2013 . A vacation with two college age children that wanted to sleep till 11-12.
We could hear all the hall noises from staff and other vacationers.
Got a call from concierges twice at 9 am which woke us up, they were just diamond resort sales people trying to get us to go to an hour sales talk. I refused on my initial interaction with them, but they called every day we were on property. I told them no every day. There was no communication between each of the sale people (concierges).
They also had construction on the villa above us.
I had called prior to my booking about construction and was told they were done. This was a lie to get me to book.
Beware: No housekeeping and only towel exchange on Tuesday and Thursday.

positive points was the front desk people and the look of the villa. We bought ear plugs for the noise.

I am enjoing every minut of my stay at grande villas, I took a long time looking for a nice hotel to take my vacation, I read a lot of reviews before renting, I am happy that I chose this hotel, it is amazing, very clean, nice service, starting at the check in, thanks Melinda for been so friendly, I love my room!(studio) I have everything I need inside, I wish I could live here! I hope this review is hellpfull! You wont be dissapointed!!

We arrived on December 22 at the Cypress Pointe Resort - Grand Villas. Check in is 4 p.m....we arrived at 3 p.m. to be told that our room was not ready (3 bedroom condo) and would "maybe" be ready by 4 p.m. While others were checking in, there were two people complaining to manager about their rooms and how unhappy they were with their accommodations. I asked if we could have a different room that was clean and the desk clerk replied...no....this is a really nice room....you are really going to want to wait for this room. We said fine and went and enjoyed a nice lunch....returning at 4:15 p.m. There was a different desk clerk there at this time, and after explaining that we had pre-registered with the other desk clerk and that our room should be ready now.....he said, oh, no, that room is not available...there is something wrong with that room....in the meantime, others were now complaining to the manager again about their accommodations. He said we could have "this" room .... or "that" room. I asked if there were that many rooms available at 4:15 p.m., why was I not offered a room at 3 p.m. He had no answer. We took "this" room - a 3 bedroom condo. The room appeared at first glance to be nice, but the kitchen was extremely small. The two master bedrooms were extremely large and well appointed. The third bedroom was very small and only large enough for a queen size bed. Another couple was going to sleep on the pull out sofa sleeper.

The kitchen was not well appointed lacking many items to cook with. For a large family vacation, eating out every meal proves to be extremely expensive. We opted for breakfast in the condo with snacks and one dinner option. There was only one small frying pan and two small pots. One large stock pot. That was it. There were 7 knives, forks, and spoons,....8 plates....so, we had to improvise with the silverware. The plug next to the sink did not work.

Upon closer inspection, we found socks in one of the drawers in the living room cabinet, quarters under the cabinet and on top and behind. We also found dust balls and lint in the bathrooms behind the doors.

Later that evening we called the front desk requesting two more towels and they were not very happy .... all we heard was that they were very full and very busy. Again, we tried to make the pull out sofa sleeper when we discovered that the "mattress" on the sleeper was nothing more than a wafer piece of material covering springs and rods. It was old, dirty, and tired. We called the front desk and explained that it was painful to sleep on and that we requested anothe rmattress or something comparable. They replied that they had nothing.

The next morning, again, I went to the front desk and told them that people in our condo were sleeping on the floor and we were planning on staying for week. We would like a replacement....the front desk told me that next month all the mattresses were going to be replaced....after the holidays and there was nothing they could do for us. I told them we were going to have to buy an air mattress...and they said "sorry"......that was their wonderful service.....not so much!

We were not impressed with this place. It is average at best. The pool area is very nice, but everything else needs a huge touch up...they told us we were in a renovated room....possibly renovated in 1980 maybe? I'm being very generous by giving them an average rating. I had a much higher expectation of this place given that some of the reviews were positive...although there were some bad reviews as well. I think it is hit and miss with this place. And, this was definitely a miss.....we will not be back....new mattress or not they have lost me as a customer given their lack of compassion for people sleeping on the floor after having paid good money for a full week rental and their lack of caring that the mattress was a piece of paper. Please take this review seriously.....otherwise you too may be sleeping on the floor during your vacation. That was disappointing to say the least.

First this place is amazing. I was lucky enough that one of the guys from work had un used time at this timeshare so I got a great rate. The room was unbelieveable. Updated very clean. Flat panel tvs in the living/kitchen area as well as in the bedroom. the on suite bathroom was amazing a nice big garden tub ( would have been even better as a jucuzzi!) stand up shower w enough room for two. Double sinks with a huge mirror (we didnt have to fight for space to get ready!) They have the option of a safe in room if needed. Screened in balcony (keeps away the bugs!)

Right on the border of Lake Buena Vista/Kissimee. Close to Walt Disney World Resort (about 2 lights down) which has a hugh AMC theatre with the option of dine in. Shopping mini gold, wine and spirits shoppe and walmart all extremely close. With the kitchen option at the resort we spent about $60 at walmart and cooked for the week.

A suggested place to visit if you dont want to drop alot of money at Disney or Universal, Fun Spot USA is Kissimee. Its free you can walk around and you pay for the rides. Its like a Carnival. It was a fun/cheap night out. If you're young and want to go out look for clubs with no cover or Cuba Libre is a nice place with spanish twist but plays all kinds of music!
