“Solid Courtyard”

Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista in the Marriott Village

Jul 18, 2007

This Courtyard is in a triplex of Marriott's along with a Fairfield Inn, and SpringHill Suites. Even still, parking is not a problem. My fiancee and I stayed here for a Disney trip, even though we live in the area because we love Disney! Check-in was smooth, and the pool
area was nice and seemed everyone was enjoying themselves, but we didnt use it.

We stayed in a one king room, and it wasnt anything special, just a solid, clean room at a good price that weve come to expect at Courtyard. Bathroom's were fine for that level of hotel. We ate at Bahama Breeze (a Darden Restaurant) which is right next door to the complex, and I would recommend it to all of you.

Would strongly recommend this hotel for all who are in the area, but mainly or families who want to do Disney, but dont want to pay the price of staying on property.

“Average hotel”

Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista in the Marriott Village

Jun 26, 2007

We stayed here June 17-21. It was okay. Nothing to brag about. The grounds & lobby were very clean, as well as the pool area. The staff at the front desk were very helpful. The rooms could use an update. Mildew & mold in the bathrooms. Can tell this used to be a smoking hotel, as the rooms still have that odor. Sheets on the king beds did not fit, kept lifting off, which was not pleasant. We got a decent rate online, $85/night, pre-paid online. However, when we checked in, we found out that we had a room facing the parking lot, with no balcony. It was fine, but if you plan to stay longer, it might be worth it to upgrade. The restaurant/breakfast cafe was not that good. Buffet items should have been hot, but were warm - at best, but there was variety. Restaurant staff were not that friendly. This hotel is very close to Disney parks, and only about 10 miles from Universal Studios. Also close to shops & restaurants. It rained a few nights we were there, and aside from a small game room, there is not a lot to do with older kids at night. Vending machines in women's restrooms on this property were all broken. Might choose another hotel next time we visit.

“Pleasant Stay”

Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista in the Marriott Village

I would recommend this hotel if you are only staying for a short period of time. Had my trip been longer, I would have been disappointed. I found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. We asked to changed rooms to a balcony view and they did so without any problems. We asked to have late check out on our last day and unfortunately they couldn’t do that for us, but they kept our luggage and let us use the facilities until we left for the airport. There is no wow factor nor any bell and whistles at this facility. But, it was a great value and it provided us with what we needed for our short trip – decent room, friendly staff and pool with an outside bar!

This Hotel is far from the airport and Nightlife. I would rent a car if you plan on leaving the hotel each day as we spend a lot of money on cabs. Renting a car for 3 days would have cost us less!

“Very disapointed with housekeeping....”

Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista in the Marriott Village

Very disapointed with the housekeeping, very rarely were we left any coffee packets or paper cups or complimentry shampoos & on one occation we were left used shampoo bottles. The room appeared to not have been vacuumed once in our two week stay, The balcony was never swept and the bedding was not changed every three days as promised. This is a shame because the hotel was nice and a great location if only the housekeeping was of a higher standard.

“No 'WOW" factor”

Courtyard Orlando Lake Buena Vista in the Marriott Village

We choose this property due to the excellent location and the price; $52 NT. For the price, we were satisfied. It was your average 3 star property. Front desk was friendly. Housekeeping did minimal requirements. Our biggest disappointment was the layout of the property for the pool view rooms. The entire one side of the hotel the rooms are all looking down on the roof with air conditioners and other mechanical equipment continually running. Our balcony overlooked this. I asked to be moved; they were unable to move us to a better location. The "moderately priced" breakfast was $11.99. What a joke when the Fairfield and Springhill include a complimentary hot breakfast. Would I stay at this property again? No. There are too many other better choices in the area.
