The Fairfield was a wonderful surprise! Nice, clean room and bathroom, very comfortable beds, great continental breakfast and kind and helpful staff! We stayed in late January for a $89 rate, at least $20 less than Holiday Inn and the likes. It's right off International Drive so it's near everything but is nice and quiet. Loved it, and will definitely stay again.

We stayed at this hotel when it was only a few months old and we have been back 5 times(all the way from the UK) It is still just like a new hotel!
The standards are very high.Each year we have found that an improvement has been made (ie;new drapes,new mattresses etc.)
The staff are friendly and courteous. Many of the staff,icluding breakfast and maid service have been there from the start which shows that they run a "happy ship".
The breakfast is a very good continental style with plenty of choice.They have good coffee.The rooms are large,light and airy.The pool and hot tub are very clean.
This is now a totallly NON SMOKING environment, even outside!
It is just off of I Drive so you can walk anywhere to eat.
We cannot fault this establishment.

We stayed here 4 nights during December. This is a nice, very clean, no frills hotel. We reserved a suite which was a perfect size for a family of 4. While there is no door separating the two rooms, you do get a couch and chair, two TVs and a table. It was nice to have a "Living Room" to relax in versus sitting on the bed watching TV at night. The hotel is extremely convenient to Universal, Islands of Adventure and Sea World. It was not terribly far from Disney either. A good choice if you are doing all the parks. The breakfast was suprisingly good and included the usual bagels, muffins etc., but also boiled eggs and jimmy dean sausage biscuits, which was nice. There are many restaurants that are very convienient to the hotel and several, such as TGI Fridays, within walking distance. There is a great game room which my kids enjoyed in the evening. They also had a place where you could purchase chips, icecream, etc. Didn't really see the pool area as it was too cold when we were there. All in all, if you are looking for a clean, safe family hotel for a good price I would definately recommend.

This hotel is a Universal Studios partner and we booked our room through Universal as part of a package deal. We stayed there for two nights and our room was very clean and quiet. The property is very well maintained and the staff was friendly and helpful. There are plenty of restaurants and entertainment options for the kids within walking distance or a short drive from the hotel. However, I would not recommend eating at the TGI Friday's near the hotel based on our visit there for dinner after spending the day at Universal. The staff is friendly, but the food isn't very good there.

The free self serve breakfast bar in the hotel lobby runs from 6:30-10am which is ample time to for both early and late risers to get breakfast. They serve a variety of items to choose from which should satisfy most kids and adults alike. The coffee machine is left on 24/7, so you can always get a cup of coffee whenever you wish. There is also a microwave oven in the same area that came in handy since there are no microwaves in the basic rooms, which I found kind of strange since even cheap hotels have microwaves in the rooms these days. The room did have a coffee maker which we never used since it was easier to get coffee in the lobby on the way back to our room.

My son used the pool and there were always clean towels in the bins. Both the spa and pool were very clean and nice. The wireless internet access worked well. I overheard some of the business guests saying the network was too slow, but I thought it was adequate enough for most average users.

The free shuttle bus to Universal runs right on time every day. You have to get free tickets for the shuttle in the hotel lobby if a person is at the ticket desk in the morning @ 7am. The first day she was there and we got tickets which the shuttle driver asked for. The second day, the lady wasn't at the ticket desk and I was told by the hotel desk clerk that we didn't need tickets.... kind of a weird way to run things if you ask me! The shuttle buses are old and creaky and seem to be running on a shoestring and a prayer, but they held up while we were there. It still beats paying parking fees at the theme parks.

Overall, this hotel was a great value for the money and I wouldn't hesitate booking a room there again during our next visit to Orlando.
