I stayed here for the first six days of a two week holiday in Florida. I specifically chose this hotel for it's close proximity to Disneyworld, in the knowledge that Lake Buena Vista is in my personal experience a superior location to the other two main and rather tacky tourist areas of Kissimmee and International Drive.
The hotel had intenal corridors and not the less secure extrernal balconies often found in US hotel/motel accomodation.
The room was clean, modern and very pleasantly furnished. It also had a fridge and microwave and complementary toiletries.
The hotel pool was smallish but heated to a warm temperature. Alongside was a pleasant hot tub. Small was fine as there was very little use by hotel guests. There was also a small gym which I did not use.
The big bonus however was the complimentary continental breakfast each morning. I was expecting very basic fare and was therefore pleasantly surprised to find a wide range of cerial, coffee, bread, fresh fruit, yoghurt, muffins and at least one hot meat item each morning.
After leaving the Hampton Inn for another hotel, breakfast cost an average of $30.00 per day for my party of three. Deduct that from my room rate of $69.00 and I think that makes the Hampton Inn a very cost effective choice for the budget conscious traveller.
Needless to say we used the money saved to purchase bargains at the Premium Outlet Mall (Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Nike, Timberland, DKNY to name but a few) directly opposite the Hampton Inn on the other side of I-4, and about five minutes by car.
Also close by are many decent restaurants and all the well known fast food outlets.
In conclusion, this hotel make a great base for visiting the theme parks. Paticularly for families of four or less. Quality accomodation at a very reasonable cost.
