This was our first stay at this location. After reading many reviews we chose this location, hoping to use the free shuttle to Epcot and the Magic Kingdom over Mother's Day weekend. After arriving we decided to drive our own vehicle and pay the $14 per day parking fees because the limited shuttle times were not convenient for our needs. Our room was nice and clean. The beds were soft and comfortable. They are regular matresses, not sleep number beds. Our room was at the end of the hall and it was quiet, even though the hotel was very busy and crowded. Breakfast was average, nothing wonderful. The best part was making Mickey Mouse shaped waffles. The eggs tasted good, but were ugly and lumpy. Our family appreciated the food and it got us off to a good start each morning. The lady in the breakfast area kept the food items well stocked and kept the counters wiped off. The sitting area is roomy and there are extra seats in the lobby area. Lots and lots of families with children, but everyone was pleasant both mornings and no problems waiting turns for serving food. The front office staff were polite and courteous. Overall a good stay.
The only draw back was that upon arrival our first night we were not informed that there was a problem on the third floor. When we got off the elevator there were four large fans blowing the carpet and wallpaper dry as we exited the elevators. There must have been a leak of some sort. The hallway smelled bad! There were power cords on the floor and it gave an awful first impression. Our room, however, was at the end of the hall away from the sounds and smells of the fan, carpet, et. By the next morning the dryers were gone and all looked normal, except the wallpaper was peeling in several places on the walls. We headed off to the park early and when we arrived back that evening our room keys did not work. The receptionist has only activated our room keys for one night, not two. Needless to say we were tired and frearful that our belongings had been removed and someone else was in our room. A different lady was at the counter and she reactivated the cards. We walked in our room and found all was fine. Nothing was missing and the beds were made and the bathroom clean. No problems.
This is a nice average hotel. Not as good as some Hamptons we've stayed at, but certainly not a bad place to stay for one or more nights. Seems to be a busy, popular location!
Choose a quiet location at the end of the hall away from elevators. The third floor was quiet.
