I booked this room through the hotel website and was able to get a 2 queen bed room for $69. This site met the usual standard for Country Suites hotels. The rooms and lobby were clean, bright and cheerful. It always seems like you are staying at a family's home rather that a chain hotel.
The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet was well maintained and clean. Everyone loves making their own waffles!
We were pleased to find so many resturants (and choices) within walking distance of the hotel. This is really important after you have driven for 7 hrs.
The pool area is small but enough room for a quick dip without being crowded. Most people are here for Disney not hanging out at a pool.
This is a good value for families and travelers.

My husband (A Brit), and myself an ex Floridian from Orlando travelled to Orlando from September 17-
Oct 1,2005. We made reservations at this hotel thru our travel agent in England. We had read previous reviews on here and we thought it would be ok to stay there. I knew the area and we wanted to do the whole Disney thing this year. Well I am writing to say that it was the best hotel we have stayed at in all our travels to Orlando in the past three years. We travel to Orlando two to three times per year and we are hopeful that our next stay in Orlando will be here if they continue with the service that we just experienced. We really felt like tourists this time! The hotel was clean, the lady working there specially early in the morning in the breakfast area (Betty)was very helpful and very polite. The front desk staff answered all our questions no matter how silly. The room was always nice and clean. It was nice coming back in the afternoon (after sweating and getting wet at the Disney parks) to a nice cup of coffee and a chocolate chip cookie. Lots of convenient restaurants in the area also. We found the " Daily Mail" at the local 7-11 accross the street. It was nice that we did not have to drive too many times to go eat dinner at night. What a nice time we had and we really think it was worth staying there! We came back home and told a lot of people about "this" hotel and we are certainly going back! Thank you all at the Country Inn & Suites for making us feel so welcome!

This hotel was excellent. Stayed in King bed room on third floor. Quiet, very clean room. Air conditioning very powerful so we had to shut it off at times. Cleaning staff very efficient. Breakfast very good. Location excellent 15-20 minutes to all Disney Parks. Located in a shopping center with Steak and Shake, Bagel place, Giordano's and gift shop. Across street from many restaurants like Chili's, IHOP. Great place if not spending too much time in hotel. Pool area very small and no theming.

We visited this hotel from 15th July - 19th July 2005, by mistake, as we thought we had booked the Country Inn at Apopka Rd. However, we were more than delighted when we saw Calypso Cay and glad of the mistake!!! The suite was spacious, the beds very comfy (even the pull-out sofa) and extremely well looked after by a hard working maid called Elena, many thanks! The pool was better than we had expected but very popular, the chute attracts lots of kids! The complimentary breakfast was fairly good, replenished immediately, with cereals, juices, coffee, tea, bagels, waffles and fruit etc, but is very busy as this hotel is used by the neighbouring time-share resort as a base for their "tours". However you could take breakfast to your room if you could not get a table. The staff were great, very pleasant and helpfull. All-in-all, a great hotel, reasonably priced in a great location, and one we will certainly recommend to others and return to again.
