We chose this hotel due to good price compared to the Disney Resorts, plus the hotel is only a year old. Lobby staff upon check in were less then accommodating and not very friendly. They also did not care we had to make an appointment in Downtown Disney nor did the Bell staff who made us wait for our luggage vs. letting us take it to the room ourselves. Make note the resort charges $16/day for a resort fee + occupancy tax + resort fee occupancy tax, etc - so a room for $160/night ends up being $198/night after all the additional fees/taxes. The Back Bay Bar and Restaurant has good food and makes a nice drink, but bring your wallet...it is not cheap. Same with any of their restaurants except the Starbucks Coffee shop - standard prices. The rooms were clean and standard. We did like the king bed with the bunkbeds for our two children. Though the transportation is free, be sure you arrive to the bus stop 5 - 10 minutes before departure as the bus leaves on time. The drop offs at the parks are not close (like the Disney resort buses) so make sure to plan accordingly - add another 30 minutes for all drop offs (or 45 minutes for Magic Kingdom) if you have an appointment due to the walk. The pool area is very nice at the hotel with towels provided and you have access to the condo pools with a lazy river or water slides). Lazy river was nice but no towels provided - we were told to go to another pool area at another building to get them after talking to 3 staff members. This resort had a nice mix of couples, children, singles - so the pool was not crazy busy or over taken by children nor did you have to worry about being up early just to get chairs by the pool as I remember doing at a few Disney resorts. If the staff would have been more friendly upon our arrival and accommodated us, along with the bell staff, knowing we had a tight time schedule due to an appointment, I would have given a higher rating.
