“CLEAN,HELPFUL, GREAT FOR UNIVERSAL PKS”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2011

judy, imad, andreas fantastic bar service and people. love em so much going to book again for next year. If you want a great central location on I drive with easy walks to most bars, parks etc this is yours kind of place. Rooms basic but very clean and just everything you need. Think just been taken over so they are doing work on it at moment, but to no disruption to us at all. All staff very courtious and helpful. If you want a good friendly place to stop I would reccommend this to anyone.Great facilities in complex, pool bar and evening bar inside, arcade, gym, spa, shop, cafe, computer room, laundry room, snacks and meals available and good value.

Room Tip: ask them when checking in for what you want.

The rooms were old and tired, the staff were rude and unhelpful.
Building works were being carried out during our stay with all of the noise and dust that goes along with it.
Transport was arranged that never turned up, and the staff denied arranging it rven though we had our tickets.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL

My Mom and I have been traveling to Orlando for the last 30 years. This trip was April 13-April 19th. We had a ball. The pool and bar is great. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. We just loved Imad at the poolbar and of course Judy. What a great girl. Hey Judy, Mom and I miss you. We are the ones that come there every year and we just talked to you at the bar about some people that are not so friendly. Facebook me at jojo65bear@aol.com. Hope to see you next year.

We reserved a king and received a double. We were switched the next day after we had a discussion with the night manager Kenny. For being in the building that was newly renovated it was a big disappointment, 1st room the toliet paer holder was not even in the wall as weel as the kleenex holder was in at such a angle you could not remove the kleenex. In the new room there was not even a cover on the kleenex and the kleenex kept falling out. The door to the room would not shut and you had to reallky push it to close. Paint chips and gouges on door and in the room. Toliet continiously running. Shower was not draining. Front desk people were quite rude and not very helpful. Rooms do not look anything like pictures. No couches. Spa was not working until we said something. Don't even try to get a wakeup call, it takes the front desk 5 minutes to answer the phone & if you go down to the desk you have to wait over 5 minutes from someone to come out from the back. There was never anyone at the front desk to attend to any hotel resident

Stayed at the International Palms for eight nights bed and breakfast, checked in at 2.30 am, swift check-in and guy was really friendly. Stayed on the 6th floor of the tower block, room was spacious, cleaned everyday with fresh towels. Great to have fridge and coffee machine in room and comfortable beds. Shower was more than adequate and warm, once I realised I had turned it to cold instead of hot.

Breakfast was plentiful, my sis has a wheat intolerance and she never went hungry!

Fantastic position, across the road from Wet and Wild and easy 20 mins walk to Universal which we did everyday. Highly recommend the i-trolley $10 for 7 days, tickets can be purchased in the hotel. We used it to go to the outlet shops, as well as travel to diners at night.

I-trolly 23 south - Millers Ale House is a must, great food, loads of it and very reasonable, that includes drinks too. We ate there three times, staff couldn't do enough to assist. Also go to the New Punjab Indian i-trolley 13, again great portion sizes and food was lovely, no jippy tummies either and we ate there twice. Down the road from the hotel is Black Angus great steaks but this was our most expensive night - we deserved it we had done loads of shopping.

There was renovation works but this was during the day and we weren't on holiday to stay in our room all day - we would definately go back!

We have stayed at many hotels all over the U.S., especially in Orlando, but this hotel was one of the worst I have stayed in. I checked in and as it states on the Priceline website, sometimes you can not get the bed you prefer. I had asked for a queen or king, but we got 2 double beds. The front desk clerk barely responded when I asked if we could get a queen or king. He stated "No. The "tower" we were staying in was under construction on the upper levels with the bigger beds," supposedly. When we drove around the corner to the Atrium Tower Bldg where we were staying, we walked into the "lobby" to be greeted by the sound of jackhammering reverberating inside the courtyard and chairs/tables stacked up all around the 3 elevators. Everytime we walked through the halls and lobby area of the "tower" there were several construction workers walking around staring at all the guests, frowning. The hallways had chipped paint and were dirty and dingy everywhere, as well as inside the hotel room. The room had a toilet that barely flushed-the handle had to be held down for a good minute at least, the beds were bouncy and very cheap. The cheap sheets on the bed were even put on SIDEWAYS!! The tub was stained and the towels were worse than those at a truckstop motel, rough and small. The jack-hammering continued during the day everyday. The first night once it became dark, there were no outside lights on in the courtyard, lobby, or hallways until 2 HOURS after darkness-only the emergency lighting system!! Talk about UNSAFE!! The remote control for the television did not work and two of the elevators did not work properly the whole time we were at the hotel. In the parking lot, there were 2 large rental trucks with trailers illegally and selfishly parked for 3 days across 5 prime parking spaces each and when the front desk was notified, nothing was done about them. Then to add insult to injury, at check-out, I was informed we had to pay a $7.95/day "resort fee" though I had explained the fee should have been waived since the hotel area we were staying in should not have even been open considering the construction and condition of the "tower" we stayed in. RESORT FEE FOR WHAT???!!!!! HORRIBLE!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

Room Tip: Make sure to check for construction at hotels!!

This place is what you get for what you pay. We don't need fancy hotels to stay in we loved this place! We found it to be clean, quiet, fun and the location was great!! The staff was very friendly and welcoming not so much with the Dollar Rental inside (NEVER AGAIN will i rent a car from them!) The pool there is awesome but the poolside bar was only open 1 time when we were there :( (if there is a storm that day even if it was earlier that morning they would be closed for the day) The location was perfect trolley stops in front or you can walk to the parks (20min walk from Universal Islands of adventure) The room was standard, beds where clean and comfy. Our view overlooked International Drive. All and all we enjoyed this place, then again we don't need 5stars and $400 a night to be happy..
