Well having read the reviews over the last 6 months, it was with a little trepidation that I forked out for the Tower Room with Disney view. We (2 adults & 1 child) certainly got a fantastic view. As others have mentioned bathrooms were a bit of a disappointment and not really executive standard. Everything was very clean and room reasonably spacious. Buses to Disney parks were OK going but seemed to be a bit disorganised coming back..MAKE SURE YOU NOTE WHICH BAY THE BUS DROPS YOU OFF AT!!
Exec Lounge b'fasts were just right, but the shambles at peak times caused by lack of room, was annoying. Evening snacks were also fine if you'd had a big meal during the day. Watch out for the hard sell on time share..a common problem in other accomodation around Orlando I believe. Pools were superb.
Overall was quite happy with the stay UNTIL we had one night at the Hyatt at the airport on the way home! A standard room that was $20 cheaper was sensational and the way a modern hotel room should be. I know it is a long way from the parks, but boy could the Hilton learn a few tricks

“Older Hilton with a direct I-4 view!”

Hilton in Walt Disney World Resort

We spent a week at the Hilton in June. Don't expect an upgrade of any kind if your a
Hilton diamond member. At check -in they tried to tell us we were upgraded to a jr. suite
but I had already paid an extra $40 a night for the room. Our room was directly on the Interstate. (I-4) Not the quietest of locations and we were also awakened most mornings to the leaf blowers at 6:30 am. I asked if we could be moved to any jr. suite away from the highway. They said nothing was available.(even the next day!) Not my idea of a diamond upgrade. We did speak to a very nice concierge who adjusted our $40 a day back to us.
The bathrooms were old and the tile floor not all that clean. I think they are trying to make the best from an older facility. The beds were plush and very comfortable .The pool area was large and clean. Other staff was very pleasant but I was not picturing a week on the interstate for my vacation. OK hotel if you get a great rate. We went to the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal from here... now that was a vacation!

We stayed three nights at here. The pool was nice, and it wasn't a bad walk to the Downtown Disney Marketplace. The room was fine, but I thought the bathroom was small and basic. We had requested a refrigerator when we made our reservation, but we had to call and have it brought up after we arrived. It didn't have a thermostat and it froze everything we had inside of it. I called and requested they exchange it. They brought up a replacement with a thermostat, but the thermostat didn't work and everything still froze. There is a daily fee for a refrigerator, but when I received my bill at check-out, they hadn't charged me for the refrigerator. It was just annoying to have food we couldn't eat.

My biggest complaint was the bus service to the Disney parks. They were late and crowded. They also drop guests off & pick them up in the theme park parking lots, which means that guests have to stand in the sun or sit on the asphalt while waiting to go back to the hotel. On the way to the parks, the buses stop at four or five other hotels. On the return trip, the Hilton was the second stop.

It was very nice using the "Extra Magic Hours" benefit.

“The good, the bad and the ugly”

Hilton in Walt Disney World Resort

Good:
The hotel is in a good location and has 2 nice pools. There are also several restaurants in the hotel, including one snack bar which is relatively inexpensive (shocking for Disney).

Bad:
I had a problem with 2 staff members, both with the valet service. One of them sent me on a wild goose chase to find a shuttle which I needed to take to a meeting about 5 miles away. I stood at the convention entrance for 10 minutes and the shuttle never came. Come to find out, he had sent me to the wrong entrance, and I missed the shuttle. As a result I was late for my meeting. When I first realized their mistake, I complained to the valet manager who just shrugged his shoulders and told me to take a cab. This only perpetuated my anger!!
They charge $6.50 per day (in addition to your room rate) to use the gym!!! I have never heard of this, and I do not understand it at all. I paid for one workout, and the gym was nice.

The ugly:
About 2 minutes after I checked into my room and took off my flip flops, I stepped on a piece of glass that wedged into the bottom of my foot. Luckily I was eventually able to get it out with only minor injury, but I was afraid I was going to have to go to the E.R. to get stitches. This is inexcusable to say the least. I had a hard time walking in my high heels for the rest of the trip. Not a big deal I know, but it still really put me off. I wore my flip flops in the room and the bathroom the whole time.

We just returned from a four night stay at the WDW Hilton over July 4th and had a blast. The resort was clean, the restaurants were great, the pool was fun, the service was excellent, etc! We paid extra for a jr. suite (which was nice, but not that much larger than a regular room, so if you don't need the extra bed with the pull out sofa, not really necessary), but overall, the room was very nice. I had wanted on the Towers Level, but since those rooms were full, the front desk gave us access to that level free of charge so that we could enjoy the complimentary breakfasts, snacks, sodas and appetizers. This was great...and I would advise paying the extra fee if this level is available. "Dive in" movies by the pool at night, walking distance to Downtown Disney and extented hours to the Disney parks. We're ready to go back!
