“Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2014

This hotel is right next to downtown Disney (about 1 mile) so an option if you are staying here is walking to downtown Disney from this hotel. Parking is a bit pricey but is expected as so close to downtown Disney. Clean and spacious rooms, has a business center, lots of conference rooms and is quite modern. Overall will recommend if want a hotel close to downtown Disney.

Hello trini_r, thank you for sharing your comments on our hotel. We are very privileged to be sitting on Disney grounds, and so close to Downtown Disney.

Come see us again!

In a nut shell, the hotel was across the street from Down Town Disney, shuttle service to and from the airport, busses to all of the parks, get the bed and breakfast package because food was great and my stay was a better price than budget Disney hotel, fridge in room, free waters for our days in the parks, and the list goes on. I would stay there again!!!

Arrived before check-in time. So, was able to leave luggage and come back later. Returned in couple hours, room was ready and luggage arrived shortly after. Traveling solo and felt secure staying at this hotel in this location. Because I was in a room with a door to the adjoining room(if someone needed that) I could hear the people in that room talking. That was the only issue.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2014

We stayed here for 9 nights from February 18-28, 2014. I wanted to leave this review because when we were planning our Disney trip we had lots of questions and I would like to help others. This hotel was so much more affordable than any of the Disney properties. We had a CAA rate at $179/night. We needed a room for five so this was a junior suite. The hotel was clean and modern. The front desk staff and concierge desk employees were always very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and had comfortable beds and a variety of pillows. I was worried because our room was right next to the elevators but it was so quiet we didn't hear a thing! I requested a fridge in advance because apparently not all rooms have them. This was such a bonus for us because right after settling in we walked down the street (10-15mins) to the Goodings grocery store. We stocked up on breakfast foods and snacks for the week which allowed us to get up and get going early in the mornings and save a lot of time and money. We took a cab back, they are waiting outside in the parking lot. The main reason I chose this hotel over others in the same area was because it was directly across the street from Downtown Disney. It truly is a 2 minute walk to the Downtown Disney Marketplace. This gave us so many more options for restaurants and the shopping was great. Our two boys ages 10 and 8 loved it there especially because they got into trading disney pins. I had bought some random pins before we left that the boys could trade and they loved it. You can also trade vinylmations and this looked like a lot of fun too. This hotel also participates in Extra Magic Hours and has shuttles to all the disney parks including the water parks. They do stop at other hotels and sometimes other parks so if you want to be there for rope drop then I would suggest taking a cab. Make sure it is a yellow cab or a checker cab because these are the only ones that can take you to the parks without making you pay the $15 parking fee. Also, if you plan to take a cab home from the parks beware of gypsy cabs that will try to get you to come with them. Just go to the actual cab stand to avoid them. We used the laundry at the hotel and it worked great, there is an arcade that my boys loved right outside of the laundry room so that was handy. The gift shop has the usual souvenirs but also carries things like cough medicine, tylenol, imodium etc. There is a small convenience store called the 24hr Marketplace and it has lots of good healthy foods but it is pretty pricy, better to go to the grocery store for the basics. They have yummy pastries, sandwiches and ice cream too. They have great coffee that you can use your drink vouchers for that they give you when you check in. We went to the italian restaurant one evening and we are so glad we did, it was the best meal of our trip, the restaurant was quiet and our waitress, Kayla or Kylie (can't quite remember), was so friendly and helpful. She was genuinely interested in our plans and gave us tips for the park we were going to the next day. We also ate and had drinks at the bar in the hotel. The food was good there as well, drinks are pretty expensive but to be expected. We got to watch the Olympics on all the tv's so that was great. We also took advantage of the pools and hot tubs. The pool was so warm we couldn't believe it, and the hot tubs had a nice private atmostphere and were not busy though the jets were very weak. There were lots of leaves falling from all the vegetation around the pools but the pools and hot tubs were always kept very clean. I should also mention that you get free DVD rentals when you stay here, they had new releases and lots of family choices. The only thing I did notice was that the outlets in the bathroom will sometimes not work. You have to push the reset button on them and then they are fine. We always had hot water and lots of fresh towels everyday. I do tip the housekeeper every couple of days. We feel like we chose the absolute best hotel for our disney trip. We saved so much money by staying here and because even if you stay on-site you still have to take shuttles or other transportation to all of the various parks we don't really see the benefit. Especially if you are considering the disney value resorts, the extra "themeing" just doesn't seem worth it to us. At the time we were there we were not able to get magic bands but we found that by using a touring plan and making our fastpass reservations first thing when we got to the park that this really didn't affect us at all and now it seems that off-property guests can get magic bands as well.

Room Tip: Make sure to request a fridge when you make your reservation.

Been to this hotel twice, once in Dec.2012 and again in Feb.2014. It came as a big surprise to me that the prices went up a lot and the service went down. The rooms were still the same but the housekeeping never cleaned our room properly, and we even found a cockroach in the bathroom wall. Breakfast was once included in our rate, but now even on Club floors you're allowed access only to cold breakfast, i.e. cereals and bread. The great plus to this hotel is the location and the daily transportation to Disney parks, but I would much rather choose any other hotel down the same road.

We're so glad we could invite you back to stay with us and regret that your experience did not meet our high standards for both cleanliness and service. We are addressing your concerns with the appropriate members of our team . We certainly hope you will give us another opportunity in the future as these mishaps are certainly not the norm.

Kind regards,
