This hotel was great and had a wonderful price. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly from the moment we were greeted at the front door to the time we left. Our little one loved the fresh chocolate chip cookies that were available at the front desk anytime you wanted one. The suites are perfect for family trips because of the space and the refrigerator and microwave in the room. The free shuttle going to the parks was nice, but returning was not as easy later in the night with a child because it was a long wait. We will be staying here on our next trip to Orlando.

We have just stayed at the Doubletree for two weeks and have had a fabulous stay. I disagree with many of the negative reviews on here as we did not come across many of the problems stated,

Over the whole two weeks we were never apporoached about time shares etc. and we found all the staff were all very friendly and helpful and would go out there way to assist you.

The complimentary transportation ran ever half hour although not always on time. It was very busy, but they always laid on additional buses if they were full.

We enjoyed swimming in the pool and found the area clean and well maintained. The pool bar was a nice area to relax whilst the children played and swam in the pool.

The room was a little bit smaller than I expected, but still larger than any other hotel rooms in the area. We liked that you could close off the living area with the shutter doors - we could leave the children to sleep whilst we relaxed in the living area, Having a fridge was an advantage - we froze small bottles of water and took them to the parks daily. We did find the air conditioning noisy, but as we come from the UK we are not used to having air con and it could be that this noise is usual. We kept it turned off at night so it didnt disturb our sleep and had it turned on whilst we were out at parks etc.

Some maids cleaned the rooms more thoroughly than others, but there wasn't anything major to complain about. A couple of times they didnt replenish the coffee or glasses but that was about it.

We didn't eat an evening meal in the restaurant, but did have the pizza hut express room service and we thought this was some of the best pizza we have ever had. It was delivered very quickly after it was ordered and couldn't be faulted.

The Downsides -

1.) Over the two weeks we had 33 pizza menus from external companies put through our door at night time. I'm sure it doesn't bother some people, but when you are staying for a long period of time you get fed up with yet another pizza menu under the door!

2.) We enjoyed our breakfast every day as it was included in the rate, however as there were four of us, I dont know if I would pay the $15 each for it. There was a good selection of food and the waiter/waitresses were great especially Leeanne, however the chef making the waffles/omlettes had a habbit of disappearing for 10minutes at a time and left you waiting at the counter.

Overall, we would highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

I stayed at the Lake Buena Vista Doubletree Hotel from June 10 through 20, 2009. Originally my stay was for seven nights, but the front desk staff was able to add three nights to the stay during the middle of my stay at the same rate.

I had numerous minor problems that were all resolved to my complete satisfaction by the hotel staff. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The hotel was clean and what I would expect from a Doubletree.

I would definitely stay here again, and to prove it I will be back in the middle of August 2009.

Have stayed in many hotels on and off Disney property over the years. Doubletree staff was the absolute best. From managers to wait staff, everyone was there to make sure our staff was available and made sure our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. never a wait. I recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Walt Disney World in Orlando.

remember to go to the restaurant, our waitress Karen was fabulous, whatever we wanted - delivered.

saving the best for last - Shadi Saman, Director of Food & Beverage - the BEST! whatever you need, he makes it happen, even if it is not on the menu!
