“A good hotel overall but watch out for parking charges”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

Having just returned from the Springhill after two weeks staying there, I thought I would give a overview more than a detailed review, as most of the other reviews are very accurate along with the photos
Staff fantastic very friendly
Rooms next to I4 noisy, as are the rooms next to the pool due to large plant equipment even on the fourth floor.
Beds okay, although pull out was moudly so did not use.
Rooms slightly dated but okay, bit dusty.
Facilities across all three hotels good.
Parking gets busy, and were nearly charged $70 (£45) but were not told this, so they didnt charge us, although because we were virgin travellers we shouldnt of been charged anyway apparently?
Close to I4, near to Sea world and downtown disney is 10 minutes away by car.
Breakfast was our biggest complaint 12 days of turkey sausage and scrambled eggs or two days of biscuits (scones) with mushroom gravy and scrambled egg.
Although cereals and other foods were available breakfast just lacked variety and imagination after maybe 5 days or so. Waffles were delicious though.
Free safety deposit boxes at reception.
Free tea and coffee 8 till 10am, 5 till 8pm in reception, single cup coffee maker in bedroom, okay for boiling water for tea
shampoo, soap and conditioner in bathroom, rooms tidied everyday
Villlage food okay, pizza hut okay, arcade okay, village shop overpriced.
Bahama Breeze, Golden Corral pretty much next door

Not what I would have expected for a Marriott hotel. The location is ok for a visit to the Disney parks, but not that close to transport, and the staff are very polite and helpful, however the hotel itself looks very tired. The entrance and breakfast areas are ok, however the rooms really need to be updated. The room is a good size, but extremely basic, and didn't feel very clean at all. The bed was not made very well and the bed linen was creased and looked like it was time it was replaced. The bathroom was not great, with an old style shower and a shower curtain. There also isn't a safe in the room. The rooms are not that quiet - you can hear the guests staying in the next room. The free breakfast was good, with a pretty reasonable selection on offer. This may be ok for a family looking for a budget hotel, but if you're looking for a nice hotel, maybe try elsewhere.

We are glad to hear that our staff was friendly and helpful during your stay with us. Our team loves to hear guest feedback regarding their stay. I hope to see you than as it will be a new property for us and our guest.

This hotel is amazing. The suites are very spacious and very clean. For the price you pay it is well worth the money. The breakfast could use a little more variety. Will stay here again in future visits to Orlando.

We stayed at this location for four nights during a recent Disney vacation. This hotel is competitively priced, especially compared to staying on Disney itself. It's an easy drive to any of the four main Disney parks, although getting to the main street can be a bit of a hassle in heavy traffic as there is no protected right turn and every single car has to wait for a gap in oncoming traffic. Taxis also play a bit fast and loose with traffic laws int his area so you need to stay on your toes.

The Marriott Village is home to three hotels including the Springhill. It seemed as though each had different amenities. Our had breakfast. Another (I forget which) had a bank of computers for printing airline boarding passes and whatever else you may need. The parking lot can fill up at night but there were always spots a bit father from the hotel entrance. There is one main entrance to the "village", usually staffed by a guard. It isn't Fort Knox and you should watch your valuables as we were waved through the gate more than once without checking that we were guests.

Overall, the hotel did its job. It was in need of a facelift but functional. The only real complaint we had was the bed. After long days in the park, it wasn't pleasant to come back to an ultra-firm mattress. We woke up each morning feeling sore and stiff. We've stayed at other Springhills in the past. The one in Houston has tempur-pedic mattresses that are amazingly comfortable. I imagine it's one of the things they'll have to upgrade the next time they renovate.

The pros: quiet place to sleep, free wi-fi, inexpensive parking ($5/day), and free breakfast.

The cons: VERY firm brick-like mattress makes it hard to recharge after long days in the park

Hotel is fine, 10 min drive to wdw.
Free coffee in lobby at certain times.
Free breakfast is ok.
There's a Pizza Hut and food court across the complex near the Fairfield.
Just past the food court, cross the car park there is a Golden Corral and Bahama Breeze. Easy walk, less than 5mins. They are building a BJ Steakhouse and it'll be open by November.

This hotel was a good choice for our vacation since we were planning to only stay a couple days near the Disney Parks on the budget. Located just 10 minutes’ drive from the Walt Disney World, this hotel is convenient and affordable for a family of four. Simple suite style room with a pullout sofa, refrigerator, microwave, and TV, and there is also free Internet in the room. The room was just decent enough if you wanted to spend a whole day at the parks and only spend the evening in the hotel. We wished the beds had been wider and more comfortable. They felt kind of lumpy. Still, the room and bathroom were clean. Free breakfast was also an important addition for time and money saving. Breakfast choices are nothing over the top but perfect for a classic morning meal. Tea and coffee are available in the lobby next to the food area. Hotel located in the Marriott Village together with two other Marriott hotels. Also, there is a convenient Marriott Village Food Court between the hotels with fast food choices of food and drinks, a game room, and hotel gift shop. There is a pool and fitness room as well. Unfortunately, the parking is not free; there is a $5 dollars charge per night. To finish, this hotel would be a good choice to stay in Orlando; it only needs to get some renovations in furniture, especially beds.

Room Tip: Make sure that the person whose name is on the reservation is the one who is checking in; we had to...
