When my husband and I booked this hotel on this street near downtown Disney we excepted a nicer experience. We had stayed at several hotels on this street years back with better quality rooms and service. Hotel is outdated and dirty. We found a roach in our room. When we tried to cancel and leave they could not give us a solution. They insisted that the manager was the only one that could help us but not until the next morning.

I love this hotel! It brought back so many amazing memories of my time working for Walt Disney World! (I lived 5 minutes from this hotel for 12 months in 2009)

LOCATION:

The hotel is situated in the heart of Lake Buena Vista area. This is a PERFECT location for the Walt Disney World Resort. In this area alone there is a huge gift shop when you exit the hotel’s main entrance and turn left. Just passed the gift shop is a Wallgreens Pharmacy. Over the road from the Hotel you will find Burger King among other places to eat. Also try the ALE HOUSE!....Brilliant!

HOTEL ROOMS:

The rooms where a awesome size. My room consisted of two double beds with TV, desk and wardrobe. The bathroom had good amount of towels and nice ‘extras’ like Shampoo etc. Everything was fresh and clean! Which is always a great thing.

THE HOTEL FACILITIES:

Stay at the Pineapple! With its groovy image the hotel has some great facilities, a large swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers around the room.
My room rate included breakfast which was served at the Vista Cafe, this was the only thing that let the hotel down. It really wasn’t great, and for a full day at the parks you really could do with a good breakfast. However I wasn’t going to let this spoil my return to Florida.
There is a small shop in the hotel which sells a wide variety of items, you can also use the Petrol/Gas station shop next door to the hotel.
A great thing about this hotel is the offer FREE Transportation to the FUN and the local shopping malls! A coach will take you to all 4 of the parks. I got off at Epcot and used the Disney Transport (Monorail, Bus, Ferry etc) to get about.
All the staff are really good fun! They want you to enjoy stay.
Free WIFI is available throughout the hotel.

OVERALL:

This really is a great hotel! Your in Florida and the main reason for your trip will probably be to see the Theme Parks, so this hotel offers a great base for your trip and somewhere to relax with a drink in the evening, to regain your energy for the next fun filled day.

Room Tip: Request a high floor room.

My husband and I took a last minute trip to Epcot. He found this hotel on a travel website at a great price, which made us a little skeptical, but we booked anyway. We weren't expecting much. It was very busy when we arrived late in the evening. The gentleman who helped us was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and large. It's not an upscale hotel by any
means, but, for the price, it exceeded our expectations.

It was fine for the 1 night I was there, The décor is dated ,but the room was comfortable. The breakfast was just adequate. It was in a central location for all the parks and restaurants. I wasn't in the room very long to check it out in great detail, but for the money it was a good deal.

We stayed 4 nights at Orlando Vista.
The good - the beds, sheets, pillows were all very comfortable. The shower had good pressure and temperature and there was an in-room safe. When you requested service, you did receive it, though not as timely as we might have liked. The room was decorated cute and was relatively clean.
The not so good - the free shuttle to Disney parks has very limited times for trips and you are the last ones picked up, making standing room likely, and the last ones dropped off, making the ride back 45 minutes minimum. The free internet is only in the lobby area, not in your room. We were on the third floor at the end of the hallway, near the main road. Yes, we could hear the large trucks, but it wasn't terrible. The decor is old. The metal tissue cover was extremely rusty, there were a couple holes in the walls and one wall had a large area that looked like maybe suitcases used to sit against it, because it was all dirty looking. However, the room itself appeared clean.
The bad - The hall carpet is gross, I went to the ice machine barefoot, and that was a bad idea - don't put carpet pad in humid locations!
Other 1 - The coffee pot in the room had the wrong pot, so was not functional the first morning. On our way out, we asked for a replacement. They were going to have houskeeping replace it when they made up the room. That night, no coffee pot. The desk said it was too late, and promised for the next day. The next morning we had the do not disturb tag up, but had a knock @7:30 - which was early, since we closed down the park plus the long bus ride back. But, they brought us a brand new coffee pot. The lady wanted to come in, but allowed me to bring the defective one out instead. We had coffee later!! The next morning, we realized that they had restocked the coffee, but no cups for the coffee! I went downstairs and got us cups.
Other 2 - 5th morning determined they did not replace our washcloths or floor towel. We were checking out, so did not pursue extra towels.
Other 3 - from day one we did not have a bar of soap or shampoo. The evening of the third day, they stocked us a bar of soap. We did not request this, so won't complain too much.
Other 4 - one evening, the toilet got ... slow... not plugged, but not right. The front desk had someone fix it right away.

Overall - ok, I guess. Make your needs known, and they seem to respond. Remember that you are getting a really good price and are here for what is outside the hotel, not to hang out inside.

I was hesitant to stay here after reading other reviews but i just couldnt turn down the cheap price. I was glad i didnt! Although the decor is extremely outdated- does that really matter? Reviews of stealing from hotel staff caused us to not request a maid make up our room during our entire stay but we were fine with that. Walking distance to tonnes of reasonable dining options including sizzler, olive garden, mcdonalds, burger king, steak house, subway, ihop and also close to a walgreens. Honestly, if you are staying in orlando to mainly do themeparks save cash and stay here.
We caught free hotel shuttle to disney and the lynx bus to seaworld, dowtown disney, orlando premium outlets international drive and universal (although there was a decent walk after the bus trip. I was really glad we kept our reservation here in the end.
