What can I say, it's Disney so you pretty much know what you are getting in terms of service, cleanliness, etc. My husband and I stayed in the Pop Century along with another couple in Jan. 06. We had a great time. We got a great value - I want to say it was about $70-$80 a night (off-season), easy access to the park via shuttle buses, and because we stayed at a Disney property we could take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours (each night a park stays open late for only people staying at Disney properties). The theme of the property was fun (each building on the property represents pop culture from a different decade 50s-90s). HOWEVER, and I think this is a big however, we were not traveling with children and we were not traveling in the peak season. I think families with children might be crowded in one room (they are not large rooms). Also, instead of a restaurant, there is a "food court" (basically a big dining hall). This was crowded and inconvenient because you had to stand in different lines to get different foods (i.e. not every food station had the same foods). It was overwhelming and tough to get tables in January when it was obvious that the vast majority of the rooms were empty. So I can only imagine that it is a nightmare in the peak times. (There is pizza delivery to the rooms however). I suppose a trip to Disney necessarily involves a little (or a lot) of pain and suffering for parents. So despite these warnings, I would recommend it as an inexpensive alternative to other Disney resorts, or as a bit more expensive alternative to off-property which allows you the benefits of being on Disney's property.
