My boyfriend and I had a great holiday staying at Pop, we were here for 8 nights in July. Check-in was very fast and we asked for a quiet, non-smoking room on a high floor which was no problem. The room was super clean and still looked fresh, it was a good size for 2 people. Towels and toiletries were refilled everyday and extra towels for the pool were always available. We used the guest laundry whilst we were there, it is very reasonable, you can use your own powder and it only takes 30mins.

The resort is good fun with giant pop icons, pools and play areas. The grounds are very well maintained, but watch out for the sprinklers, they come on everywhere at midnight!!!

We bought the refillable mugs, definitely worth the $12 as we used them lots. We ate breakfast at the hotel everyday and thought that there was a good selection of food at a reasonable price for Disney. We also had dinner at the resort twice and enjoyed fresh salads and shrimp lo mein.

The front desk staff were quite helpful and organised a trip to Kennedy Space Centre for us through Mears Coaches. We did ask for a taxi once to take us to the retail outlets and it took nearly 45mins, so booking ahead might be better. The resort buses were good, although during 4th July celebrations we waited much longer (25 mins) and not all bus drivers were experienced in operating the lift for wheelchair passengers, it could therefore be quite time consuming.

Overall a super holiday at Pop, we would definitely return here!

“Awesome Resort!”

Disney's Pop Century Resort

My husband and I took my daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren to Disney World. The Pop Century was AWESOME! The kids loved it as did the adults! The pools were all unique and all one depth which was great for kids and us adults who can't swim! The service was excellent. The food court had a variety of foods which were all good and the dining area was clean. Our rooms were small, but not too small, clean and comfortable. The staff was amazing...there wasn't a problem they couldn't handle! The transportation to the parks was incredible...we never had to wait! The pool and dining area was never too crowded! The gift shop had everything! The arcade was fun! It was truly a fun filled week at a place where we could eat, sleep, play and shop!

We (my boyfriend and I) spent 7 nights (April 3-9) in the 60s section of the Pop Century Resort. (My niece and her husband and 2 of their children stayed in the 70s section). Our room wasn't far from the food court, and it was quite near the Hippy Dippy pool. We checked in on a Sunday evening and there was no wait at all. The only disappointment was that when I made the original reservation with Disney, I had requested a room with a king-size bed. Upon check-in, we were told that none were available and had to settle for a room with 2 doubles (albeit much smaller, more like full size). On the walk over to the room, I was impressed with the grounds and the overall layout.....the place is immaculate. The rooms themselves are a little small, but I consider them adequate size for 2 people. There is also a table and 2 chairs, cable TV (lots of Disney), a dresser, a small bathroom with a separate vanity area with a sink, a small safe, an iron and ironing board and a shelf space with hangers for some of your clothing, or perhaps you could store some of your souvenirs on that shelf space like we did. That first night we all went to the food court and purchased the refillable mugs (They are the best investment you can make!!). You can get soda, water, coffee, hot chocolate as often as you like. As for the food court, it really is not as bad as some people say here. Of course you might spend a little money, but after all, you're on vacation. There are several food stations to choose from....Chinese, Italian (try the veggie lasagna), burgers, pastries (try the tie-dyed cheesecake), etc. There is also a shopping area (like a supermarket) where you can purchase such things as salads, yogurt, chips, sandwiches, and much, much more. There is a wide variety of items to choose from that should be able to please anyone. During our vacation we also had breakfast at the food court a couple of times (it seems more crowded during breakfast hours). At Pop, you will also find an arcade area and a pretty decent souvenir shop with the same Disney items you would find at the park. My favorite thing while visiting Orlando for the first time was the convenience and ease of the bus transportation. We never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus and depending on the theme park and the time of day you go, you may not get a seat.....we had to stand several times, especially at night when returning back to the Pop. The Pop Century is a well kept place, my boyfriend said he saw very early in the morning the maintenace crews power-washing the walls and the pools being cleaned. On our last day there, we strolled around the grounds and took pictures of all the icons. We also had a cocktail at the Petals Bar. So, if you want to stay on property and don't want to spend thousands of dollars, but want the "Disney" experience, I highly recommend the Pop Century Resort. It is clean, comfortable, decent, fun, and you'll feel like a kid again....I know that we will be back to the Pop in the future.

“okay”

My husband, our 2 kids (aged 15 and 10) and myself stayed at Pop
Century from 26/6 to 10/7. Having already stayed at All Stars Movies we sort of knew what to expect. We were put in the 90's building a good walk from classic hall especially when the weather was bad as it quiet often was. The rooms are noisy (noiser then All Stars) and the beds uncomfortable. Buses were okay but as we were there over 4th July celebrations it was very busy and we often had to stand or wait for another bus. We once waited over 50 minutes for a bus to Downtown Disney. The rooms are clean and housekeeping were very good, but desk staff are only average.
The food court is okay for a few days but even our kids were sick of the food towards to end of our holiday.

It is probably more geared to American holiday market than the british holidaymaker.

The hotel is ok. It wasn't as clean as previous reviews have stated. Check in and check out went smoothly. The food court was average. The transportation system was satisfactory. I would probably stay at a moderate resort my next visit.
