“Lines are too long”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

My family have annual passes to both Universal Studios and Island of Adventure. Every time we go to visit this attraction, the line is so lone. The wait is almost always more than an hour long. Not to mention, they don't have fans to help cool us down, nor is there any shade provided until you get into the building, which is a huge problem because the people have been sweating all day and have developed less than pleasant body odors.

“This Place Is Cool”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

The best part is the Harry Potter ride. Lines get long but are managed well. You really get the sense you are at Hogwarts. Shops are fun and have a lot of neat items in the Harry Potter theme.

“Loved it and wanted more”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012

We went to Harry Potter World with our 9 and 11 year-olds and we all loved it. It really felt like you were walking into Hogsmeade as described in the books. The key shops and spots were there (Zonko's, Honeydukes, the Owl Post and the Hogwart's Express). Hogwarts castle was fun to see, inside and out. Don't miss the Forbidden Journey ride in the castle. I HATE scary rides and roller coasters, and I loved this even though it really felt like you were flying.

Would love to see more shops - several shops were just fronts and it would have been wonderful if they were real (and would probably generate a lot of sales). The missing places that we wanted to see: stationary shops with quills, Weasley Wizarding Wheezes, a potions shop with fun ingredients and instructions, maybe even a restaurant that looked like the great hall in Hogwarts would make it even better. Highly recommend it. On our last day, we asked our kids which park they wanted to visit, and they picked Harry Potter World (again). Warning that the butterbeer is super sweet (especially the foam, which they put on top with a different dispenser). My son loved it though! :)

“Very well done”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012

I read the Harry Potter books to my kids when they were young, and we all loved them. Universal has done an amazing job of recreating the world of Harry Potter. Youngsters who know the books will love this place, and the rest will think it's just fine. The dragon roller coaster is pretty intense, one of my friends got vertigo and had to go home afterwards. But the ride that makes you feel as if you're flying is amazing. Don't miss it.

“So realistic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012

Feels like you are in Hogsmeade village with the shops and characters all around the area. You could spend all day in this area never mind the rest of the brilliant Islands of Adventure.
