I've been Going to Florida for 12 years, and I'm not fed up of it. This hotel is the best I've been to. The food was great you cold choose from 3 restraunts, but the main one was the Mara. It was fantastic with the theme of Africa. The family rooms had a bunk bed, a double bed and a balconey. It is great for us all. It is amazing with all the theme parks and waterpark's. If you are looking for souviners there's a lovely giftshop in the hotel. In the pool for children, there's a slide and games. There's a mini club (Simbas club)with is open dailey. It's been the best hoiliday ever!!!!!

We have stayed twice now at the Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge and are planning our third stay. Of course the main attraction is the atmosphere. I mean who wouldn't like to have the opportunity to wake up, stroll to your balcony and see a giraffe browsing or Thompson's gazelle grazing, instead of a resort pool or worse yet a parking lot.One of the most noticeable things for me was how quiet the hotel is. Even when there are people busy milling around the lobby, it is still surprisingly quiet. Compare that to the All Star sports complex where we have stayed before and you'll see what I mean. One feature that makes this huge hotel seem "cozy" is the fire pit. It is a ring of chairs that circle a fire( propane) that guest tend to congregate at the end of their days at the parks. It is fun to meet people from all over the world and chat about things you've done for the day. At 10PM they had a nightvision monocular that guest could use to watch the animals at night. Most if not all of the staff are from Africa so a conversation with them gives you a glimpse into their homeland. Although this is a Disney Deluxe property( read expensive), we were able to get a annual passholder discount so our room was $166/night value season. Even at full price, this is one of only 2 Disney properties( Wilderness Lodge) where we will stay.

My husband,myself, daughter and her friend(both age 17) stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge from June 11-17, 2005. This lodge is AWESOME!!!! We have stayed at other Disney Resorts before but nothing compares to this. From the time we walked into the lobby we were treated wonderfully. The staff went all out. The view was great, we woke up in the morning and had coffee on the balcony and watched the animals. Sometimes we started out later than we planned because we were watching the animals and just relaxing. The food there was excellent. We ate at Mara usually for breakfast-there is something for everyone there. We also grabbed a snack after we came back from the park from Mara. We ate at Boma once for breakfast and once for dinner-WOW-loved the different food and flavors. The room was definitely big enough for the 4 of us(deluxe savanah view room). Housekeeping went out of their way with towel art and different way of making the beds. TOO cute!!! The pool was great. We wouldn't stay anywhere else!!!!

we were there july 16-17th,we had a blast the hotel was really nice we could see the animals from our room, huge swimming pool, fun game room , fire place to sit by at night inside the hotel, it was really nice. the only thing i didn't like was the bed wasn't really that comfy but other wise it was a great stay and i would go back again!
