“If you like the bar scene ...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2014

It's a challenge to have a restaurant with a bar scene, typically the bar side is far more profitable and gets all of the attention. Copper Canyon Grill does a good job of balancing the two skill sets. the bar scene is a central part of the place, however most of the space does go to those having a meal. The rotisserie chicken dishes are the specialty, which was my choice, for around $22 ( for dinner), It was very good, I sat at the bar and received the dinner there. Being in a busy complex, there tends to be a wait for tables. Overall it was a good value, there is a tendency to fill up the plate with mashed potatoes or similar high carb fillers, with smaller portions of vegetable like green beans.

“Wasted Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2014

Great atmosphere and great service. The quality of the food was excellent. The only reason I've marked it down is that the portion sizes are ridiculous. They seem to accept that much of the food on every plate will be thrown away which is quite unacceptable. My daughter did not want a big meal but was told that there was no children's meal and she could not have a half portion. I know large portions are a bit of a cliche in the USA but they must waste so much food, and I feel they should provide smaller portions if requested.

“A HIT or MISS depending. Go at your own risk.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2014

We went on a Friday night on June 20th around 7:30 pm and were seated on the patio right away. It was not a busy night. Our waitress explained that the restaurant practiced "team" service and that another gentleman would be serving us too. 20 minutes later and no waiter or waitress to take our drink orders our waitress comes back looking annoyed that her teammate had not come to our table. By that time we were ready to order our drinks and food. We never saw her again after that. The teammate brought our drinks and didn't seem to be aware how long we had been waiting.

Five minutes after we get our drink my husband was talking with his hands and knocked over the martini glass that was in front of him. No one came from the "team". After sitting there for 15 minutes a different waiter came over and cleaned it up since he was serving the table next to us. We were thankful that he took it upon himself to help out without being asked.

Our food came out in pretty good time and it was excellent! The four of us enjoyed our food and was very satisfied until we were done and had another long wait. No one came to check if our food was good or if there was any problems with it. Then we saw our waiter passing us and had to flag him when he had to pass us again.

My husband does not like to complain about service since he has been a waiter, but he asked to see one. Guess what?! We had to wait for one to show up. They sent out a 20 year old who said she was sorry and she would give us a gift card. We went inside to use the restroom and notice two older managers standing around and felt sorry for the young girl who they sent who had no idea what to say to frustrated patrons except "sorry".

To conclude, the food like other reviewers have said was superb, but the service can be very dicey depending. Unfortunately depending on whose on staff and management, your dining experience can be terrible. Kitchen crew you were amazing!

*Note: I'm giving it three $ signs because my friend decided to get just one crab cake and it was $14. She would have gotten the meal if our waiter would have pointed that out.

“Good, honest food. Lovely surprise. ”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2014

Had dinner there with another couple and 5 kids total. Good food, good, friendly service. NOT the tourist trap we were afraid it could be seeing the location. Definitely worth going back.
The wine was good too and our waiter, Adam, never steered us to the most expensive bottles either.
A lovely surprise overall.
