“Nightmare Hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

This hotel has went downhill so bad, spent 3 weeks here last Oct./Nov. 2013 and it was so bad, broken furniture, paint flaking off the ceiling, rooms not being cleaned till late afternoon, pool was dirty and had worms floating about in it, had to constantly ask for towels for the poolside and all we got was hand towels which were no good when you come out the pool, my daughter had dirty water drop on her from the balcony on the fourth floor and when we went to complain to management they were not interested, we also found out we had paid way over the normal price for our stay and was not worth the money, would never stay here again. must also say they scraped the loose paint off and it was all over our shoes and clothes as they did not even bother to put any covers down. BEST ADVICE I CAN GIVE IS STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL.

Room Tip: none, better not staying here.

WHAT A GREAT POOL, HOT TUB, BEDS, ROOM SIZE, VIEW & MOST OF ALL THE STAFF!!!! You cat get a bad view at this property, all rooms have a great pool side view with palm trees right outside your door. Rooms are quiet so you don't have to worry about your neighbor being noisy or kids playing at the pool. 2 HUGE elevators centrally located do it is easy to have a room above the ground floor and get there no matter what health issues or how much luggage you have. Grab a luggage cart & get a top floor room where the view is AMAZING!!! The GREAT part is you can walk to so many gift shops, restaurants, kid activities, theaters & area attractions you can spend a few days having fun & never start the car. if you go to attractions away from the hotel....you can ride the trolly...it goes to most attractions that are not in walking distance. 2 room suites with a door between the living area & the bedroom with a pull out sofa, tv in each room, microwave, refrigerator, lots of storage space and the shower/bath area & toilet is in a separate room from the large vanity & sink area. What a plus when you have several people trying to shower & use the mirror at the same time. Breakfast is included served in a LARGE dining area so you are never cramped up rubbing elbos in a lobby area for breakfast like many hotels do now a days. In room safe, wall unit thermostat for nice working heat & air. So much better than the wall unit that usually allows noise from the outside in or never seems to work. I will stay here every time I am in Orlando and tell all my friends to stay here too. Its not a brand new property but is very well kept with new carpet & beds & a housekeeping staff that keeps it nice & clean. There is also a game room for kids just a few feet away from the pool area so there is always something to keep the kids busy. Nice lobby area with a snack shop & massage chairs for the ones that over do it during the day. You cant go wrong....great location, great price, great staff!!!!!
Thank you all at the Quality for making my stay in Orlando a great one!!! See you all next year

Room Tip: I don't see how you can get a bad room. the higher the floor the better the view if you like a v...

I booked this room because it was within close proximity to Universal Studios. The room was just ok, but we did like the layout with the separate room. Check-in went smoothly and the front desk was helpful. We had planned on taking the shuttle offered to Universal studios, but since it only goes once per day, we opted to drive instead so we could sleep in. It was very close and when we went out at night to find food, we were within walking distance of several dining options.
I wanted to use the wifi, but there was not a strong enough signal to use it from the top floor. If internet is important, I would definitely request a room with a strong signal.

I would stay again because it was affordable and I didn't need anything fancy.

We recently stayed here because they had rooms for a family of five and it was a good price. The room was big enough for us all and clean. The issues were our location, right next to the noisy elevator, and the lack of parking. We returned after midnight to find no parking spaces at all. We were instructed by the Front Desk to park next door at TGI Fridays. I'll try another one of the hundred hotels in the area next time.

Well I would say you get what you pay as many of the reviewers had said. This a very cheap hotel compared with the hotels in its area. My family and I were there for 2 weeks. In general, if you are planning to be in the theme parks during all your trip in Orlando, this hotel is perfect just stay away from the front desk. And if you ask me… I would check the prices first for the comfort inn close to this hotel before booking….but won’t have any problems staying there again.

Pros:
- Great location: 10 min from universal approx. 20 from Disney parks
- The rooms are nice, spacious little bit old but not bad.
- Comfortable beds (trust me that is the most important thing when you are in Orlando visiting theme parks)
- Breakfast included (at least you won’t mind eating bread, waffles and eggs all the week is ok) but it is the same all the days, is really poor but well is free.
- Rooms have a table with 2 chairs, a small fridge, a microwave and a small sink.

Conts:

- The hotel is very old, the halls and floors need painting (urgent painting!).
- The elevator….yes it is crappy for sure you won’t want to go alone in the middle of the night. Also it makes weird sounds.
- Cleaning is ok but not the best: Microwave and fridge were dirty when we arrive (some little pieces of food inside). Some days garbage was not taken off just the beds were made.
- Microwave screen didn’t work (so we needed to keep an eye in our food).
- We were in the fifth floor= no wifi. Even though the front desk said that the complete hotel has….that’s not true.
- Front desk service is the worst service I have never received in my entire life. The night shift is even worst. So better you won’t ask for help. Note: if you don’t speak English don’t event think they will be “happy to help you”. (some of them speak Spanish)
- If you arrive late at night you won’t find space in the hotel parking, you will need to ask for a paper to park in a restaurant close to the hotel (oh the woman in the front desk “will be happy” to receive you with the paper, she won’t let you even ask for parking space, she is very rude!).
- The room cards (for opening the doors) stopped working 5 days after…. And guess what? The personnel “was happy” to help as expected.

Some final details….

Just in case… I saw a sign in the wall that says that they will be happy to help guest with disabilities from 8 to 5 (hummm? What does it mean? That if you have some disability you won’t have assistance after business hours?)

For people outside US(or non english speakers)….. Try to travel with someone that speaks english or have a portable translator (yes I know we are in the US! And they speak english but…) at night a man was having problems with his room card and the only thing the front desk woman said was “sorry no Spanish” and continue working in their computer. She ignored him!! I guess for their signs and the cards, was not so hard to understand that was something wrong with them….and ok let’s be honest Orlando is a very touristic place not all people are from the US!

I would say my only bad comment will be that the customer service is terrible bad….for the rest… you can figure it out.

Room Tip: The elevator is not the best neither the stairs.... but we were in the fith floor not bad.... I...

I booked this room for my 20 year old son and his friend to attend a concert. When they went to their suite it had not been cleaned. there were towels on the floor and the bed had not been made. They were not offered a clean room, nor were they offered a discount, nor was there anyone available to clean it for them. Being young men and unused to dealing with these things, i didn't know about it until they got home yesterday. This is unacceptable. I have been trying unsuccessfully to reach a manager

Room Tip: do not stay here.

We arrived at the lobby for check-in and already we knew this hotel had been a mistake. The lobby was dirty and thrown together. When we opened the door to our room we were greeted by a terrible wet carpet stench. The fridge was rusty, the start button on the microwave didn't work. We went on to the bedroom and were even more disappointed. All the drawers on the dresser we falling apart. The bedding smelled stale. When we went in the bathroom....well that was when we KNEW this was definitely NOT any more than a 1 star hotel, if that. The toilet seat and seat cover were STAINED a disgusting yellow color!!! I mean, how much does a toilet seat cost that they couldn't have replaced this one?!?!?! It looked like it had been there since the toilet was first invented! When we finally used the sink in the vanity that is IN the bedroom, not in the bathroom, is when we realized why there was a wet carpet smell...the sink has a leak and the vanity area is carpeted.
Normally, we would have gone to the front desk immediately, but we were only there for one night, and really only just for a few hours to shower and change so that we could go to HHN. Then we would come back to sleep and go home in the morning. So without much time to spend trying to change rooms, we decided to make the best of this horrible situation and stay.
I will say this, we will NEVER AGAIN stay in a Quality Inn hotel.....because as far as "Quality" goes....there is none of it here.

Room Tip: Room #312 is in terrible shape. If you get this room # immediately ask for a different room.
