“Awesome! Grand location and short walk to MK!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2014

Amazing! Love this. It's a brisk 10 min walk to Magic Kingdom!! In addition to the short walk you have easy access to the monorail for Epcot and bus stop location as well. We are a family who travels to Disney annually. We have stayed at many resorts but this resort has the best location to MK. Our next favorite would be Wilderness Lodge. We loved it and look forward to the next stay! There are four of us ( 2 adults & 2kids) ages 3 and 10. We stayed in a studio with a queen bed and our room had a beautiful pool and lake view. The room had a nice size bathroom, kitchenette and balcony with 2chairs. In addition to the room -the sleeper sofa was very comfortable as well. The kids loved the pool-has a mini slide as well as a taller slide. There were plenty of lounge chairs as well as four lifeguards on duty. Also has a play water area. The 3 year old loved it.
Great place to watch fireworks on roof top lounge if you have a pass.
The resort also has a mini store for milk, water (can purchase in gallons and refill your bottles) etc... Prices were not too bad. Also the fast food wasn't bad either. We always eat at chef mickeys as well. Good idea to get the early breakfast time-around 7:30 so you can see characters first, eat and hit the parks. The landscaping was beautiful as always with any Disney property.
I highly recommend this resort for location, comfort and fun.

Room Tip: The pool and lake view was beautiful and the 8th the floor was great! The sky walk is on 5th.

This Hotel has a lot of pluses when staying on Disney World. You are 7 minute walk from Magic Kingdom, or you can also take the monorail. Lots of good restaurants in the premises including Chef Mickey's. A very nice pool, access to Bay Lake, boat and jet sky rentals. Excellent views of Magic Kingdom and Bay Lake. The rooms or villas are very up to date and very well distributed and you have all the basics and more. It is a must when traveling with small children.

We stayed over the New Years holiday and stayed in a 2 bedroom villa. It had 3 full bathrooms and was cleaned on a daily basis. The unit was fully equipped with laundry, and dishes, pots and pans. They also provided soap for the laundry and dishes! The walk over to the monorail was quick and through the Contemporary Resort. While prices were high over this holiday, it housed 8 of us very comfortably.

Room Tip: The lake view or Magic Kingdom views ate the best. The 5th floor has a nice view and does not requir...

For a family looking for the space of a 1 Bedroom and all of the services of a full service hotel, this is the spot. Unusual that the 1 BD unit has two full baths. Front desk service is excellent. Pool area is secluded exclusive for only guests of Bay Lake. Peaceful setting yet walking distance to Magic Kingdom. Not inexpensive, but worth the cost since access to Magic Kingdom is so close even during very busy Xmas season. Add in Monorail convenience at Contemporary Hotel and access to entire area is excellent. Fun boat ride connects guests to nearby Wilderness Lodge for a completely different environment.

Wonderful place to stay. A little bit expensive, but I have the luck to be in Disney Vacation Club, so I can stay there, I must only have the right points... Anyway, the rooms are special, confortable, huge and very clean. You get everything you need to live inside, like refrigerator, microwave, oven, washmachine, dryer, etc. It´s very close to the Magic Kingdon and you do not need to walk, for sure, because you can take the monorail. The resort itself has a lot of things to do, like boats, lakes, pools, launchs, etc. The staff is very attentive. My family loved it.

The Bay Lake Tower is an extension to the Contemporary Resort, one of Walt Disney World's original hotels.
We found the accommodation (we stayed in a "Deluxe Studio") was comfortable and modern.
The "studio" comfortably slept the three of us (my wife and I in a queen size bed and my daughter in an easy to use sofa-bed). The room was well equipped with a flat screen TV, DVD player, fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee maker (no kettle though!).
We had a "lake view" from inside the "horse shoe" of the tower. We were on the 15th floor with excellent views of the swimming pool and the lake beyond.
The Contemporary Resort is just a short walk away across the "sky bridge" and this provides access to the resort's dining and retail amenities.
The Walt Disney World Monorail also serves the Contemporary (it actually passes right through!) and provides a link to the Magic Kingdom & Epcot theme parks as well as the other "monorail resorts" (the Polynesian & Grand Floridian). Bus transport is provided for access to other Disney theme parks.

Room Tip: The best views are "high up" and ease of access to dining and transport is "close to...

This hotel is beautiful - very modern feel. The thing we liked best about it is that it is WALKING DISTANCE TO THE MAGIC KINGDOM! This made traveling back and forth so easy stress free. No waiting for monorails or buses at the end of a long day. The pool area is just for the Bay Lake residents, so you do not have to share it with guests of the Contemporary. It has an adult feel, which is different for Disney properties, but my young girls still liked it. It is expensive, but I think the walkability makes it worth the price.
