“View second to none in Disney”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

On the last day of our Disney vacation, we only stayed one night, theme park view, but well worth it. There is a magnificent observation deck only available to those who stay at bay lake that provides an amazing view of the magic kingdom, MK resorts and surprisingly much of the disney properties. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our family. We stayed in a 1 BR, theme park view and watched fireworks from there. BEAUTIFUL View. The kids shared the pullout couch/bed and pull out chair/bed. No question we will stay here again

Room Tip: Theme park view worth it, 1BR good for family of 4 but tight for family of 5 but doable for short ti...

I was recently here this past summer, and it was my first time staying here. As soon as we checked in, I knew we were in for a treat. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa and there was no wrong with it. Everything was clean, neat, the plates and dishes were spotless. The bathrooms were extremely impressive as well. The community hall located on the 1st floor is a bunch of fun for kids of all ages. One thing I should share with you is that the transportation "hut" is located half way between the Contemporary and BLT. The breezeway was a very nice way to go between the 2 hotels. Shopping, arcade, and the Contempo Cafe` are located in the Contemporary. All in all, this hotel was the best Disney Resort I have ever stayed at

Room Tip: Rooms with a magic kingdom view have excellent "Wishes" views

We stay at one bedroom villa on 9th floor. We invited our elderly parents and chose this hotel so they can watch the Magic Kingdom fire works from our own balcony. They are not fit enough to walk and stand for hours at the park for close viewing of the fire works. Balcony door was stuck on day #1 and couldn't be open from living room. Hotel tried to fix it and today is day #4 and the door is still unusable. We are leaving tomorrow and my elderly parents are still unable to enjoy the one thing they came here to see. Hotel offers no discount for a balcony that we paid for and unable to use! I will never stay at this facility again. Outside that issue with the balcony, the kitchen is well equipped and the room is modern and nice. We love the master bathroom/bedroom set up as well. If you are looking for a nice facility and don't really care about service, this hotel is for you.

Huge comfortable 2 bedroom suite. Full kitchen and full size washer/dryer. Sleeps up to 9 (3 on pull out sofa/chair). Three full baths. Walking distance to Magic Kingdom. Short walk to bus or monorail to other parts of the WDW property. A fantastic hotel. Great for a long weekend or an extended family stay. Able to view MK fireworks from the hotel observation area on the top floor. Many rooms have a view of MK.

Room Tip: You can get a "standard view" at the front of the hotel and have a Magic Kingdom view at a...

Well ok-I want to love it unreservably( pixie dust and all that). All the usual good things about a Disney 5* but the next time I'll follow my own heart and stay at the Boardwalk where they are equally disinterested in your family's good time but at least don't pretend otherwise. Props to Concierge Chris who worked so hard to help make things right . Yes you can walk to MK but you'll need a polar expedition to get to the food next door where the monorail access does not justify the extra expense. Lakeview ? Check, but mostly a view of the windows of everyone else's
rooms. Sorry Mickey.

I was very happy when Bay Lake Towers opened at Walt Disney World! We were staying in the Polynesian on our previous stays and even though I loved the atmosphere we were a little bit cramped. Bay Lake Towers' rooms are modern, spacious, and very functional. You can fit many people in them comfortably and you have a full kitchen and living room. We usually had two families in the two bedroom rooms with a living room and kitchen in the middle of the two. We comfortably fit 10 people in the rooms. You have a short walk to the monorail station, as well as the bus stop. You also have all the amenities the the contemporary has to offer. The pool is very nice as well. Here's a tip: Instead of buying a $50 pack of six Disney starter pins, for pin trading; buy 40 of them on Ebay for $15 and trade them just the same. Now all you need is an extremely overpriced lanyard!

Room Tip: All the rooms are pretty good. If you get a handicapped room you get extra space! Also get the "...

Wow. This was one of my best stays at WDW. I've stayed at 4 different disney resorts here, and this is probably the best one. In our 2 bedroom, the beds were really comfy, especially the sofa bed (memory foam) and the bathrooms were really nice. However, the room and hotel also had some downsides. The chair bed was all scratched up and the bellman was very rude and snotty when we checked out. The pool and the waterslide are rather small, too. But, the view was phenomenal and the 16th floor to watch the fireworks was great. Tips: If you are going to Magic Kingdom, walk instead of taking the monorail, because it stops at all the other hotels first and MK is the last stop, and besides, the walk is good exercise and only takes 5 minutes. But if you are tired from a long day at MK, just take the monorail back to the bay lake because it is the first stop ON THE WAY BACK TO THE HOTEL.
