I expected this hotel to be child-oriented, but with the $450 price tag (per night incl. taxes) assumed (big mistake) it would be a high end hotel. The pictures and website are misleading. This is a very expensive holiday inn that was painted orange and green. Most rooms open onto the pool, which is open all day and most of the night. There is loud music blasting and various "mc's" yelling into microphones at different points during the day. The rooms were tiny, dirty (major stains on rugs and furniture). The children's bunkbed room has no window and no door, just a curtain. All of this is fine if you're looking for a touristy spot for $80/night. But for $100 less, ($350), we ended up in a 4 star luxury hotel with no crowds, room service, free breakfast - the works! The food at Nick is not good, and the main fare is Pizza Hut, Subway or A&W in a food "mall." Maybe this is worth a one night stay off season just to experience it, but the high price is ridiculous for what you get. This ain't no Disney, folks, so watch out. The only good thing I can say is we were able to leave with only a $75 cancellation fee - well worth escaping this veritable hell.

Our room was not ready when we arrived, the accomodations were not good at all. The carpet was old and had multiple tears in it. The furniture looked dated. Our movie channels did not work the entire time we were there, despite requests to guest services. They did respond to the requests quickly, but without any solution. Outside of
our room, the resort is very nice. But if you stay here, you are paying for your kids to meet Nick characters, not for comfort. This resort was way overpriced. Will never stay here again.

We stayed for 2 nights in March and had a great time. The kids loved the pool! We went to the character breakfast and found this to be the best way to see the characters. Some characters were around the hotel but we never would have seen Spongebob or Dora, my kids favorites if not for the breakfast. The hotel is older and shows some wear and tear but we knew this ahead of time, don't expect a 5 star hotel! My only problem was the activities, every craft or activity costs extra. Also the "mall" is just a food court with a Nick shop and small store for snacks and misc. items. Overall we had a great time at this hotel and would go back again.

Check in was smooth. There was a line but only waited 5 minutes. Bell man stacked two carts full of stuff for our party of 5 adults and 4 kids with no complaints. He told us where to park close to our room. He then beat us to the elevator to our room. Room was clean. Fridge, micro, dishwasher all worked great. Showers blasted hard hot water every time, even for the last of 9 to shower. TVs had full cable channels. Playstation 2 in kids room was great to put DVDs on for them. Room had a safe. Ice machine worked as soon as you pushed the button. Pools and the deck were clean. We watched them power wash the deck every night. Staff constantly cleaning and we even saw staff doing some touch up painting keeping the place looking great. At least 10 lifeguards around the main lagoon pool. Plus lifeguards at each waterslide. We saw a 3 year old fall in the pool and 5 lifeguards all went for him. Other guards filled in where they we stationed. It was crazy fast. Slides for every age kid from baby 3 foot slides all the way up to adult size. It can be a little tough to get a chair between 11 and 2 but were there during spring break. Overall a great hotel for families with kids ages 1 to 14

“We stayed here for the kids”

My two boys 5/8 just loved this place! I had a great experience checking in and checking out. After figuring out the property and learing about making reservations for game shows and bus rides to the theme parks life was easier. It was a bit overwhelming at first. A tip for everyone...Rent a car and go to the nearby grocery stores and stock up. The rooms have plenty of cabinet space a microwave and the refrigerator holds plenty. The food prices at the hotel are crazy . We all enjoyed the waterparks and pool area. We did not leave the hotel much. The kids didn't want to. I have stayed at many of the Disney hotels and would have to say the Nick hotel is much better for the kids. I would not stay there if the kids were older however. Character breakfast and sponge bob buckaneer bash were only some of the good times we had. My husband was picked to be in the nightly game show. Something we will remember forever. Our room was clean. I wouldn't pay extra for a Sponge Bob suite next time though. Their room charge system is not very safe at all so be careful. I payed about $220 a night and overall thought it was worth it. I booked about 6 months in advance and probably will go back!
