I expected this hotel to be child-oriented, but with the $450 price tag (per night incl. taxes) assumed (big mistake) it would be a high end hotel. The pictures and website are misleading. This is a very expensive holiday inn that was painted orange and green. Most rooms open onto the pool, which is open all day and most of the night. There is loud music blasting and various "mc's" yelling into microphones at different points during the day. The rooms were tiny, dirty (major stains on rugs and furniture). The children's bunkbed room has no window and no door, just a curtain. All of this is fine if you're looking for a touristy spot for $80/night. But for $100 less, ($350), we ended up in a 4 star luxury hotel with no crowds, room service, free breakfast - the works! The food at Nick is not good, and the main fare is Pizza Hut, Subway or A&W in a food "mall." Maybe this is worth a one night stay off season just to experience it, but the high price is ridiculous for what you get. This ain't no Disney, folks, so watch out. The only good thing I can say is we were able to leave with only a $75 cancellation fee - well worth escaping this veritable hell.
