Stayed here for our honeymoon in May 2004 it was lovely.
Service was fab, location was fab.
Not the sort of hotel where you could walk through reception in a towel feeling comfortable. We liked it as it was very beautiful, big hotel to get around. But would definately recommend as we had no problems. Make sure you have money in your wallet as this hotel can be pricey but thats the price you pay for a bit of luxury.

Stayed here for 4 nights as part of a golf package. Was a great location and a very nice hotel with a great pool area for kids (although water was pretty cool), and well maintained property. The only downside was the cost - rum and coke $13! Dinner for 2 at the White Horse Tavern $250, with the cheapest bottle of wine they had! So we paid a $10 cab ride and ate and drank a couple of nights at the Hilton which was about 5 mins away. Overall it's a great hotel, just a little pricey.

After reading others reviews, I am surprised at the negative comments . Maybe some people go out of the way to find things wrong. My three daughters and I were treated so well, I would not drive in orlando so depended on shuttles and taxi's. The staff was so helpfull in always getting us the least expensive transportation. Our room was great. Maybe a little normal wear and tear, but to be expected from all the travellers and humidity.Yes one pool is not heated, but not freezing, unless Orlando is having a cool snap. During high season all hotels have minor problems. Also the food is on the high end, but a small fridge helps cut costs , a short trip to the market for snacks and drinks really help. We are going back on our next trip. After staying at the Hyatt for 5 days, we went to a very well know hotel in Nassua, the Hyatt put them to shame.

i highly recommend this resort! my fiance and i enoyed our stay so much, that we're already planning the next one with the inlaws. service was great, hotel resturants were a bit steep, ($3.50 for A cup of coffee), but food and service was good. it is a theme area, what do u expect. it didnt matter cause right outside the resort, there are many resturants and ull save $$. shuttles to theme parks are convient and right on time also included in resort fee. pool is GORGEOUS and RELAXING many grottos to hide and have privacy in. Next time we go, we're not goin to the theme parks, we're going just to stay and relax and enjoy all that the HYATT offers! LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!

My cousin and I met at the Hyatt for a weekend together of rest and relaxation. The property was a perfect for our goals. As others have stated, the grounds were beautiful and the amenities were plentiful.

Our fourth-floor room was of average size, and we had a beautiful view of the lake. While we were located near the elevator, hallway noise was minimal and outside noise was nonexistent.

The pool area was fabulous and not nearly as crowded at one would expect. Plenty of chairs were available in both the sun and the shade. Saving chairs was not a problem, as the staff was alert to removing towels used for this purpose. Rafts and float toys were available for use with no additional fee.

The $15 resort fee includes the workout room, pool, lake recreation (many styles of paddle boats, and sail boats), bikes, tennis and racquet ball courts. This fee was well worth it for the amenities we enjoyed.

Due to the hotel restaurant reviews on this site, we tried to avoid eating at the hotel. However, on two occasions, a lunch and a breakfast, we ate at Cascades. We found both meals to be above average. For lunch, I enjoyed a salad topped with a nice piece of salmon. For breakfast, we both ordered off the menu (a breakfast buffet was available), and I had a breakfast burrito with sides of asparagus, potatoes, and tomato.

We are already planning a return trip this summer with the kids in tow.
