Who are we? A young 30's couple that travels as a luxury. We are easy to please, laid back and happy to be in any other place than home.
What did we feel about our hotel experience?
I knew going in that there were fees, but when I got to the desk there was a $16.95 per day charge instead of the $8 charge that I had agreed upon. When I pulled out my paper work she agreed to the $8 charge but say that wi fi was not included. I was a little put off by that as we planed our trip 5 months prior and felt that when you book that is an agreement.
So no wi fi we can live with that....
Was big and had lots of space for two people. We had a tower king room. I felt that it was clean but out dated. We had an old school tv. No flat screen here. The soaking tub was wonderful after a long day at the parks.
The shower was a little wonky and when you turned it on sprayed water in the floor if you did not shut the door right away.
Food: Our breakfast was included and we were surprised by a nice buffet of fruit, eggs, waffles, bacon, sausage, ham, potatoes, doughnuts, muffins, toast, and cereal. Coffee and juice. Over all it was good, through the week, on the weekend the food was cold and it was not as good, but the waiters were helpful, and would bring you what you wanted.
As for dinner, we ate one night in the bar. I wish I had taken that money and ate at downtown Disney. Enough said
Staff: Seemed to be helpful and the few minor problems we had were resolved at once. They wanted to try to make your stay nice.
Bus service: By the end of the week my husband and I were over the bus thing. They came every half hour, or so they said! I know the bus has nothing to do with the hotel but it is a part of why you might choose this one for disney. One bus goes to 2 parks so be prepared to wait. It takes up to 45 mins to get to one park, some others 20. Just depends on what park you are going to first. There is quite a walk from the bus drop off and pick up at the parks so be prepared.
Downtown disney is about 10-15 min walk but remember that it is HUGE and there is a lot of walking. The bus does stop at one spot in downtown disney.
We did not use the pool or spa.
Over all our stay was enjoyable. We had an amazing time at the parks. We were not to happy about the bus service, which is why we are looking at staying on disney next time. SO would we stay again. Not unless they updated (which they are in the process of doing) and the bus system changed.
