Spent Thanks giving day at mgm studios. Choose it because we had heard the xmas lights were good, and we were not disappointed!
This is an easy park to do in a day, on our visit it was fairly busy, but not as hectic as Magic Kingdom.

For us the best things were "Lights, Motor Action" stunt show, great car & bike stunts, and the Indiana Jones show. Both shows are very popular, so its best to get fastpass tickets ( gives a timed return - saves on some of the waiting in line) and you can do other things and come back for the shows.
Muppet 3-D show very funny, Star tours simulator ride very good, Backlot tour and Great Movie ride also good fun.
Bit disappointed with Journey into Narnia - felt Disney could have made alot more of this.
Sounds Dangerous audio show was also disappointing - could not really see the point of sitting in the dark with headphones on listening to noises??
The "Holly-Day Parade took place at 3pm, we found a good viewing spot about half an hour before hand. Its a 10-15 minute parade and you get up close to all the characters.
For us the best thing to see was the "Spectacle of Dancing Lights" its millions of lights on the Streets of America that "dance" to xmas /holiday music and it even snows!!
The light display is on till early January and starts at 6pm.

Overall, this is a great park for all ages.

Playhouse Disney is a new concept to some - but not for the babies who dont know the princess's yet. They have a whole new cast of characters, that are actually on the Disney Channel called Playhouse Disney- The characters/shows are a legend in there own right already. The babies making JoJo 's Circus instant celebrities- along with Bear in the big Blue House and Little Einsteins. These littles ones love them!!! They watch them each morning- and feel a real closeness to them..
Disney Mgm studios has included these character events in there park. A dance and sing show with all there favorites (indoor) and it is a adorable to watch the little toddlers bop up and down. It is a must do and see while in Disney for the babies. My daughte rwent a 8 months and clapped hands and bopped around. and screamed BEAR!!! They also have Playhouse Disney Character meals at Hollywood and vine- its worth the trip for the smile on the babies faces- they dance and really interact with the kids here. This is really for toddlers only!!!!
Pretty good food too. The Little Mermaid - my daughter loves, so do I - part live part animation. Some make be frightened by Ursala the sea witch- my daughter laughs at her- and call son the little mermaid-. Very well done. There really isnt too much else her efor toddlers at all... But the attractions I mentioned are worth going even for a few hours. Enjoy.....

Disney’s MGM Park was a very big disappointment. Park is very small, and has nothing but shops, shops, and restaurants and very few attractions of which most are outdated. One should not have to pay to enter this so called Disney Park. Just herds of people wandering around aimlessly.
One ride was cut short. A tram ride that went around the block where we got to see the Herbie Beatle car, WOW. Another show, a car stunt show was cancelled half way through (after spending 2 hours waiting) due to computer malfunctions. What a joke this theme park was. Will not go back to this park, nor would I recommend it to anyone else.

Some things in this park are wonderful - Muppets 3D is brilliant. Star Tours is pretty good. The backlot tour is ok the first time, but you wouldn't want to do it again. Same for the Great Movie Ride. The sound effects thing with Drew Carey is a complete bore. HOWEVER, whereas I can't comment on the Rockin Roller Coaster (because I haven't dared go on it yet), the Tower of Terror is the best thing in the park. In fact it's the best ride in Disney. In fact, it's the best ride in Florida!
It's what Disney is best at - creating the atmosphere of the whole scene right from the beginning, in the dilapidated hotel, and whoever dreamed up this ride?! It's SO atmospheric, so terrifying, and BRILLIANTLY done. The hotel corridor that transforms into the night sky, and then what happens next is amazing. I won't spoil it for you, but this experience is worth the price of the park pass alone. Fantastic.

“A Great theme park”

Disney MGM is excellent. This park has something for all the family. My husband and I have just come home and went to this park 3 times in the 2 weeks we were there, Sept 9th - 23rd. If you get there first thing in the morning. 9am or 8am on the magic hours days then you should be able to do all the main rides with no wait time. The park does not start getting busy until about 11am but at this time of year you should only have a minimum wait for the rides. Tower of Terror is excellent and we went on it about 8 times, morning, afternoon, evening, more fun in the dark though.

There are a few shows here that you may want to see so plan your day around those but I would suggest whatever time of year you go to hit Tower of Terror and Rock n Rollin roller coaster first thing, then head for Star Tours and the Backlot Tour as both are popular.

As a veggie this is also the only park you can get a veggie burger. I think the place is called Rosies and is opposite the entrance for fantasmic.

Have a great time we did
