Spent Thanks giving day at mgm studios. Choose it because we had heard the xmas lights were good, and we were not disappointed!
This is an easy park to do in a day, on our visit it was fairly busy, but not as hectic as Magic Kingdom.
For us the best things were "Lights, Motor Action" stunt show, great car & bike stunts, and the Indiana Jones show. Both shows are very popular, so its best to get fastpass tickets ( gives a timed return - saves on some of the waiting in line) and you can do other things and come back for the shows.
Muppet 3-D show very funny, Star tours simulator ride very good, Backlot tour and Great Movie ride also good fun.
Bit disappointed with Journey into Narnia - felt Disney could have made alot more of this.
Sounds Dangerous audio show was also disappointing - could not really see the point of sitting in the dark with headphones on listening to noises??
The "Holly-Day Parade took place at 3pm, we found a good viewing spot about half an hour before hand. Its a 10-15 minute parade and you get up close to all the characters.
For us the best thing to see was the "Spectacle of Dancing Lights" its millions of lights on the Streets of America that "dance" to xmas /holiday music and it even snows!!
The light display is on till early January and starts at 6pm.
Overall, this is a great park for all ages.
