We are DVC members and have stayed at nearly all of the DVC properties at WDW. Although Old Key West is the oldest of the DVC properties, we enjoy staying there because the villas are the most spacious. The master bath is huge, and the living area is a nice size. For the number of points it "costs" per night, it is a great value. The pool area isn't the best, and it's not the most convenient to the parks, but we stay here at least once a year. You can rent boats at the marina or hop on the water taxi that takes you to Downtown Disney. Some of the units have a view of the golf course, and you can almost always see some sort of wildlife while enjoying your morning coffee on the balcony. The bus service (like at any WDW resort) can be slow at times so I recommend driving your own car to the parks (you can park for free at the parks if you show your resort parking pass).
