We had a magical experience at the Magic Kingdom. We went on a Weds. during Spring Break and the crowds were tolerable(especially in the morning). We arrived before the park opened which was key to our success there. We split up when the gates opened with my husband getting Fastpasses for Space Mtn. while the rest of us went to Big Thunder. We walked onto it along with Splash Mtn, Pirates and Haunted Mansion. Being from the OC we were curious to compare and contrast between FL and CA. (Pirates and Haunted Mansion are better in CA and Splash and Big Thunder are better in FL.) We then headed over to Fantasyland to ride Peter Pan and Philharmagic. Philharmagic was really good. We then ventured over to Tomorrowland and rode Space Mtn (better in FL) and Buzz (better in CA). The Tomorrowland Transit ride was nice to go on as it reminded me of Disneyland's People Mover. We were done with all of these rides by 2:00 (including a lunch break).

We were contemplating going back to the hotel for a nap (as so many people recommend) but we decided to do our shopping while the shops weren't that busy. My husband then stumbled onto the barber shop on Main St. and decided to get a haircut. They were so friendly in there!

We had dinner over at the Noodle Station and were able to get prime seats to watch the fireworks (be advised that they don't dim the lights there or pipe in the music). Off in the distance we could see lightning so Tinkerbell didn't appear that night. We still had fastpasses for splash mtn and big thunder so decided to head over there. On the way it began to sprinkle so we were thinking of skipping Splash mtn. We got loaded into the train at BTM and as soon as we were out of the loading dock it was coming down in buckets with thunder and lightning to boot!! Needless to say, we were soaking wet by the time the ride ended. I was not happy at the time but looking back on it I think this is one of the memories that will stay with us forever.

We visited mid march 07. It is best to arrive as early as you can. We went to Tomorrowland first and it was very quiet. My husband went on space mountain a couple of times. The children liked the Indy Speedway very much, although there are queues, they tend to move along quickly. Fantasyland tends to get busy, it's the most popular place and there are aways large queues for Dumbo and the other rides. If you have small children I would head for there first. My husband used fast track for the more popular rides such as Splash Mountain. I found the food and drinks on the park to be reasonable. If you buy a large coke then two can share it. Mrs Potts ice cream went down well!. Also the T Shirts in the shops were very reasonable too. You will pay $10 to park your car, remember where you left it!. You can travel on the monorail or ferry boat to the park from there. You can also travel to Epcot on the monorail. The firework display at night is worth seeing, we managed to get on the ferry afterwards without too long a wait to get our car.

Just returned from Orlando and had a wonderful day at the Kingdom! We beelined to Pirates(I an a huge Johnny Depp, er Jack Sparrow fan) and got right on. There is a Jack Sparrow character in the park who looks eerily like Johnny and has the mannerisms down as well! We really got wet on Splash Mountain not from when you go down the drop but by the other car splashing down on us as we started the ride- wear a poncho! Fast passed Big Thunder, Space Mointain Jungle Cruise- got right on Haunted Mansion. Loved Buzz Lightyear and would not recommend Stitch- boring for adults and frightening for younger kids! All in all a great day!

We took our 2 year old daughter to Magic Kingdom 3 days out of a 14 night holdiay and we loved it.
the Magic Kingdon, to us, really was magical, the staff, the cleaniness, the characters, the rides, the shows the fireworks, the parades, all superb.

Must see attractions:
Mickeys Philarmagic, we saw this about 12 times and were blown away. The screen is huge and you are transported through a number of Disney films, with Donald meeting all the other characters.

Space Mountain
Splash Mountain
Wishes Fireworks

“Great day out - we were just a bit unlucky the day we went”

Having visited Magic Kingdom a few years back and had a great day we planned to go again when we visited Orlando in April 2006. I can't fault the staff or cleanliness. Also there are bound to be queues wherever you go but in April when we went they were average and there's always things to look at while you're queuing to keep you occupied.

Unfortunately we weren't too lucky the day we went due to Splash Mountain malfunctioning so they closed it, the queue for Space Mountain was coming right out of the building and didn't move for the time we stood in it (about 20 minutes) so I assume it was also having technical problems, Pirates of the Caribbean was closed for refurbishment which we weren't made aware of when we entered the park so we were a little bit disappointed, but everything else was in working order so we went on everything we could and then 'hopped' over to MGM.

I'm going to Orlando again this year and will visit the park again, but maybe just spend a morning or afternoon there. But for anyone with smaller children they will love it and definitely be able to spend a full day there.
