“Had a great time in this great place.”

We went on 31st July 2008, 4 adults and 4 children, 2x6 & 2 x8 year olds. I was half expecting queues and extra expense but I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. Didn't see a queue that was more than 20 minutes, used fast-track on a couple of rides which worked out well, went from attraction to atraction around Fantasy land with ease, and then onto others with no problems. We only spent one day there from 9am til 6pm and we experienced about 80% of the rides and shows, just missing out on some of the Futureworld stuff.

Food and drink was reasonably priced, people were polite and helpful, there was loads of space, never felt crowded or rushed, the whole day was a joy, though of course it did tire us out a bit. Would have loved to have stayed for the fireworks but we were whacked and needed to get out and have dinner.

I was prepared to be disappointed thinking we'd spend so long in queues and it would be crowded and overbearing, but it wasn't like that at all, it was wonderful and I'd certainly go again.

The attractions we went on were: Dumbo, Winnie The Pooh, Peter Pan's Flight, It's A Small World, Mickey's Philarmagic, Haunted Mansion, Hall Of Presidents, Liberty Belle Boat, Jungle Cruise, Splash Mountain, Country Bear Jambouree, Pirates Of The Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain, and the Train. Not bad for one day.

“Favorite Disney park!”

There's nothing like walking down Main Street USA. It's truly a wonderful and classic experience.

We love the Magic Kingdom. It's great for families and for anyone really if you just have the right frame of mind. There's lots to do for everyone. Kiddy rides, thrills for teens, and great family rides, too.

Favorites of ours include Splash Mountain (do Fastpass but get 'em early or else you'll be riding at 11 at night), Big Thunder Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Buzz Lightyear, Monsters Inc, Peter Pan, and the Haunted Mansion. Everything is really great though. The only thing I'd really say skip is the Country Bear Jamboree. It's old and boring. The only thing entertaining about it is how outdated it is. Mickey's Philhar Magic is the BEST 3-D SHOW I'VE EVER SEEN ANYWHERE!!! Don't miss it, it's fantastic for everyone!

See the fireworks and the SpectroMagic parade.

Eat at Pecos Bill's for lunch in Frontierland, get ice cream on Tom Sawyer Island, and relax.

For dinner, try Tony's Town Square on Main Street for Italian or Liberty Tree Tavern in Liberty Square for American fare.

Whatever you do, you're going to have an amazing time at the Magic Kingdom!!

“Despite the hoards of rude Brazilian teenagers, Magic Kingdom was SUPER!!”

It has been a few years since our family visited Magic Kingdom. I was pleasantly surprised to see quite a number of new rides, attractions and enhancements to existing rides (i.e. Captain Jack Sparrow is now a part of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" ride).

Despite the hoards of rude Brazilian teenager groups (all dressed with the same color t-shirts), Magic Kingdom was fabulous. The Brazilian groups were consistently pushing their way past my family and had absolutely no respect for families with strollers (ok, I'll shut up... that's my only gripe).

We love the "fast pass" privileges.

The "parent swap" option is the best thing since sliced bread. While my wife and 7 year old son went on a ride, I stayed behind to look after our 1 year old son. When they returned, my wife looked after our toddler, and I was able to hop straight into the "fast pass" line to enjoy the ride with our 7 year old.

I love Disney World and have been to the parks dozens of times. However, over the years the Magic Kingdom has gone from my second favorite park (behind Epcot) to perhaps my least favorite Disney park. Why? Well, over the last 10-12 years the number of baby strollers has grown exponentially!! It's getting harder and harder just to walk around the park and for those without kids or grown kids (like me), it can be frustrating--like an obstacle course. When I mentioned this to several Disney cast members, they, too, are frustrated that there are so many people with babies in the park.

Since Epcot is much larger, the proliferation of strollers isn't a problem and it's still my favorite park. Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom are also much easier to get about in compared to the Magic Kingdom--though Epcot is and probably always will be the easiest.

Now I know this will be seen as mean-spirited and evil, but if you have an infant or toddler, consider NOT taking them along. Not only will babies not enjoy Disney, but it will make everyone's trip a lot easier. Wait until kids are 4 or 5--they'll be able to be on the run more and handle the frenetic pace. Otherwise, you may just have an exhausted and screaming child on your hands.

“Great Family Park”

Magic Kingdom

I (28) went to the Magic Kingdom on July 1st and 2nd with my mom (55) and sister (17). This was our favorite park because it offered something for everyone. We spent a full day and a half at this park. On the first day we arrived in the late afternoon. We used a touring plan and common sense during our visit to this park. I never waited longer than 20-25 min for a ride. We used our fastpasses wisely and got to the park a few minutes before opening on the second day for morning EMH. On the first day my sister and I rode Splash mountain using fastpasses . We both loved this ride and it remains our favorite in all of disneyworld. We rode it again on our second day (fastpasses) and got front row seats. This was so fun because we both got soaked. We all loved Pirates of the Carribean (5min wait). The animatronics and special effects and detail were so good that I had to ride it twice just to take it all in. On the second day we caught a short show outside the pirates ride with Jack Sparrow . The actor impersonating him did a great job. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. We all rode Big Thunder Mountain Railroad using fastpasses. My sister and i thought it would be a good introductory rollercoaster for my mom. My sister and mom were screaming the whole time which made me laugh hysterically throughout the whole ride. i kept impersonating them throughout our trip. We wound up loving this ride especially me because I got a kick out of their reaction. We all found the Enchanted Tiki Room (no wait) boring. I also thought that it was too loud and I found Iago annoying. My sister really wanted to see the Swiss Family Treehouse (no wait). I think she enjoyed it the most out of all of us. Also, my sister was really looking forward to Tom Sawyer Island. She enjoyed it. I found it nice for kids but unenjoyable for adults. My poor mom who was enhausted by that time and wanted to leave the park had a mini meltdown in one of the dark caves claiming that she couldn't see so she walked out. This left my sister and I lost on the island for a short while to look for her which left me having a mini meltdown. So a warning to all...don't go to Tom Sawyer Island unless your little one (or in my case 17 year old sister) really wants to. We wasted close to an hour on that godforsaken place. We all liked the Jungle Cruise (fastpasses) but I found the guide to be annoying. His attempt at comedy was irritating so I tried to tune him out. We loved the Haunted Mansion. I think this had the best special effects of all the rides in DisneyWorld. Mickey's Philharmagic was awesome and we all found it to be the best 3-D show of all the parks by far. The Winnie the Pooh ride was short but cute. I wouldn't say it is a must-do though. My mom and I especially enjoyed Peter Pan's Flight. We all enjoyed Snow White's Scary Adventures. I enoyed this one better than Winnie the Pooh. My mom and sister enjoyed It's a Small World. I thought it was slightly frightening and cute at the same time. That may not make any sense unless one has experienced this ride. My sister and I rode Space Mountain. I loved this ride, while she liked it but found it to be really scary. Interestingly, much scarier than Expedition Everest. After the ride was over she looked as though she just saw a ghost. I just found it to be great fun but not a thrill ride. My sister and I both thought Stitch was horrible. What a waste of a ride. We also thought Buzz LightYear was horrible...or maybe I thought so because my mom beat my score and she didn't know how to function the laser gun half the time. Embarrassing. My sister and I both saw Monster's Inc Laugh Floor. We thought that it was above average and worth checking out. As for food, on the first day we had dinner at Pecos Bill's. My sister enjoyed her cheeseburger but I thought the chicken wrap was horrendous. It was cold and bland. I ate there because it came recommended by my guide book. However, I don't recommend eating there. Also, another disappointment was the Dole Whip. I was so excited to try one because it came so highly recommended. My sister and I both got them and we both thought they they did not taste good in the least. It was ultra sweet and I envisoned it to be more creamy like ice cream. Instead it was a mixture of ice and ice cream. The guy who served us gave us such a small serving compared to what other people were getting but after tasting it, this didnt bother me in the least. When he asked me if it was good I put on a half smiling face and just nodded. On our second day we had a character dinner at the Crystal Palace. This was our least favorite sit down dinner during our trip but I still really enjoyed it. It was typical american cuisine and I found it to be above average. My sister and I took pictures with Pooh, Eyeore (my fave), Piglet and Tigger. My sister and I stayed for fireworks and the Spectromagic Parade on both nights. My mom joined us only for the first night. I really enjoyed the Spectro Parade. I am not a parade person and we did not watch any other parades but I really found this one fun because of all the colorful fiberoptic floats, the many disney characters and beautiful music. My mom didn't seem too impressed and my sister's feelings about it was somewhere in between my mom and I. On the first night, the Magic Kingdom had Fourth of July Fireworks. I found them breathtaking because I had never seen such nice fireworks before. My mom and sister both loved them too. The way they looked over the color changing castle is a sight I will never forget. On our second night we saw Wishes which was also excellent. I really enjoyed the narration and tinkerbell's flight. Overall, we all found the Magic Kingdom to be our favorite Park for entertainment, however we all thought Epcot was best park for good food.
