Everything you could wish for in a theme park, it had something for everyone. There was nothing there that I disliked.

“This is where the inner child is allowed to come out and play:)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

Magical, who doesn't want to be a prince or a princess. If that doesn't suit you, a pirate like Cap'n Jack! Disney knows how to cater to that inner child that allows you too dream and become that very character that as a child you so longed to be! Magic Kingdom is my second only to Epcot. Such a magical experience and if you ever get the chance to see a Mickey's very merry Christmas, you won't regret it! So much fun to be had here at Magic Kingdom!

“The Best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

The Magic Kingdom is the standard for all amusement parks. The goal of the park is to ensure that each visitor has a magical experience no matter how long or short their stay is. This is accomplished by their committment to quality at every level of employee. The level of training of each castmember you encounter is stunning. They go out of their way to anwser your questions, speed your process, or provide general information to enhance your visit. Each time I leave the park, I think to myself that this must be a remarkable place to work.
The park is in constant motion. There are performances and parades in almost every part of the park throughout the entire day. If you choose to visit for a few hours in the morning or evening, or decide to spend the entire day there, you will encounter a parade or a stage show. If you stay through the evening, you will experience the best of all their shows - the Electric Light Parade and the Wishes Fireworks Spectacular.
The rides have been described by others at length. The rides all center around a story, which is then brought to life by the experience. Some rides are thrilling, most are not. The park caters to the entire family and not necessarily one demographic. I highly recommend using the FastPass system (which is free for all guests). At a minimum, take 5 minutes to speak with a castmember about it if you are unfamiliar.
The food offerings are well varied and good by all standards. High end dining is available at resorts outside the park. If you are seeking something that does not include characters and centers on the quality of food being served, consider those options first. The options within the park are generally about the experience or focused on getting you in and out quickly.
Transportation in and around the park is tremendous. Your options include ferry boat (the most leisurely paced option), monorail, bus, or if your are staying close enough to the park - your feet (see my review on the Bay Lake Towers for more on that subject).
The cleanliness of th epark will stick with you forever. Just take a look at all of the people around you, consider how much garbage they are capable of producing, then consider how long the park is open. In some instances, the park is only closed for 5 hours. It reopens the next day as if nothing has happened and you and the people around you are visiting on opening day. It is a tremondous operation orchestrated by true professionals.
I cannot say enough about the manner in which Disney operates the Magic Kingdom. My family and I throroughly enjoy our visits there and will not consider another family oriented vacation until my daughter shows signs of disinterest. It is a first class operation, and while it can be expensive, offers great family memories that you will always recall fondly.

“Still a favorite”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

What can you say about the happiest place on earth? Got there in am and avoided most of the lines we about 10 hours there and did everything we had hoped. Space mountain a must do, enjoyed the parades and watched a great performance at the castle.

“New Fantasyland "Dress Rehearsal"!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

I have been to Disney World too many times to count...sometimes never entering a theme park at all, sometimes choosing one over another. I hadn't been to Magic Kingdom, which really is my favorite, in a while. As a vacation club member (also an annual pass holder), I received a call inviting me to a preview of the new Fantasyland scheduled to open Dec, 2012. I had a choice of either Belle or Ariel, and self guided tour of the yet to open restaurant.
My daughter and I received a wristband upon our entry and headed there at our scheduled time.
Parts were still under construction, but what we were able to preview was true Disney Magic at its best...More castles, attractions, and a restaurant that looks as if it can host an amazing affair.
Even though our experience was supposed to be limited to one attraction, everyone was able to do both.
Little Mermaid is very similar to California- bright and colorful. Ariel herself is beautiful ( and skinny!) and happy to greet her visitors.
The Beauty and the Beast story attraction was too cute, involving visitors to the library. And of course Belle is just as beautiful as Ariel.
I do foresee these attractions having long wait times, especially Beauty and the Beast, as only a few guests at a time can enter.
I'm sure Disney will figure a way to accommodate the crowds.
Regardless, make your way over to the new Fantasyland. You won't be disappointed.
