“Great Visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

My little girl loved it so much more than our last visit. The crowds for our week were much lower than our May visit and the weather was wonderful. The new "fantasyland" was great. I truly appreciate the castmembers allowing us back since it was her birthday.

“TAKE THE ADULT ROUTE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

Disney at any age is wonderful. Think outside the box if you're without little ones. One of our favorite things is to take Disney Transportation to resorts we haven't stayed at previously. We make a day of a progressive lunch or dinner. First stop, appetizer, second maybe a meal or another shared appetizer, a show or movie might get squeezed in. Dessert an after dinner drink, find a great non park spot for the fireworks and you've made it a day without a park admission. Great way to catch up with family, friends, no rush, no hurry, relax and have a great adventure.

“Disney made it a great Gluten Free holiday but the park needs to be updated.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012 via mobile

I wish we would have taken our son when he was younger. He is 12 and seeing the characters weren't quite as fun as it would have been if he was younger. The highlights for him were the more thrilling rides and I wonder if Universal Studios or Bush Gardens would have been more fun for him.

There are lots of sit and look around rides that need to be redesigned to match today's technology.

My husband and I both wished that there had been more Disney music throughout the park.

We purchased a Delux dining plan that let us do 2 sit down meals a day. These meals included an appetizer, main entrée and a dessert. This was way too much food for us!!! But it sure was good food!!!

Gluten Free- Disney made eating gluten free stress free and safe!!! There are snacks, quick service, and sit down that all accommodate. There are a couple of areas that could use some improvement:
*more prepackaged snacks and desserts options. With every quick service meal we had the choice of a GF brownie or cookie for dessert. After 10 days it gets hard to keep eating that. Especially, when that is also one of the few snacks available. We ended up using our dinner points to by a snack made by a chef.
*Disney candy, nobody knew if it was gluten free. If it is, a clear defined label would be helpful.
*my son really wanted GF hot chocolate and none was available. While we were there it was cold.

Things we liked:
*parades
*fireworks at the parks
*food
*pics with the characters
*Club 626 - Stitches Dance Party at Magic Kingdom
*Christmas Light up of the castle
*Lights to music at Hollywood Studios (my fav)
*staying on site
*Magic Kingdom being open late (1am)
*We slept in and started our days later...less busy thus way.

Things we would do different
*spent 10 days...too long for us
*plan in more down time
*stay at a delux resort near MK
*stop at grocery store for GF snacks before checking in
*bring a windbreaker for cold nights

“Plan ahead!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

WDW is an amazing and magical place. There is lots to see and do in all four parks! Plus the two water parks and Downtown Disney!

First of all!!!!! Plan ahead!! If you just drive down to Orlando and expect to just go to the parks and enjoy it......it is a little harder than that. Read up on Fastpasses, photo pass and extra magic hours.

The four parks include Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios! Each park has many different things to offer. Food goes from snacks, to counter service, to table service. Attractions in each park appeal to different age groups.

I love WDW....Walt Disney World Resort! It's a blast if you plan it right. But you have to read up to know what to expect.....there are lines! Lol.

“Is it the economy?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

I will never say a bad thing about WDW but on our most recent vacation there this past month, we were disappointed. The economy seems to be taking some pixie dust from Main Street USA. We live the place. Everyone can use a touch up but the thing is the food. We were hard pressed to feed our son with food allergies. WDW used to be the vacation spot to go for great service but not this time. They changed their products. A lot if them are NOT allergy friendly! Beware!!! If you're going don't expect it to be easy. You have to ask & be persistent & you won't always get a warm reception. It's wayyyyyy toooo bad. But we still love WDW just wish they didn't change like all other places. Seems products got cheaper. NO brand names that are recognizable:(
