“Great Hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2012

My husband and I stayed here two nights while we were attending Night of Joy at Disney and Rock the Universe at Universal. It was convenient to both parks. The room was pretty clean, cozy and decoarted nicely. The lobby was beautiful. The pool looked fun, but a little small. We were never up early enough to make it to the free breakfast. We really liked the room and felt very relaxed while we were there. We would definately stay again.

We chose to stay at the Fairfield Inn near Seaworld to enhance our Seaworld experience. This location was convenient to Seaworld, either by the provided shuttle or by vehicle. Shuttle times are not super frequent, but it was convenient non-the-less. We reserved under the summer discount rate (69 for a king size room). We probably could have found a reservation for much less, but it was a last minute decision to stay over in Orlando, and they allowed last minute cancellations in case our plans changed.

I managed to hit the pool and breakfast during our one night stay. The pool was great, a kidney shaped, nice sized, play pool. It was not intended for lap swimming, but was long enough to make the couple of laps I swam enjoyable. Would be great for kids, and there is an adjacent lounge/ bar area in case the hotel pool is something on your itinerary. The gym was nothing but a few tread mills and barbell set, and located across the way at the suites. I wouldn't count on keeping up with your workout. Breakfast was just OK, typical of Fairfield fare if you have ever stayed with this brand before. Waffles and coffee were the highlights, though I ate the oatmeal being more health conscience.

Overall, I chose this hotel because in reviews I read it was updated and clean. This it was indeed. Therefore I initially rated it with a four. However, two drawbacks are that it is a good twenty minutes to downtown Orlando if you are interested in the nightlife on Church street corridor. Also, I experienced 50% cycling on the AC at night, and I woke up thirsty and couldn't find any water at the concession booth downstairs - had to walk across the street to the CVS at 2AM. This is probably a hotel trick of the trade to save electricity, but it was unwelcome in my case since I was a little dehydrated and the unexpectedly higher temperature in my room at night didn't help. So, for this reason, I downgraded the rating to a three, and I recommend that people hydrate well.

I have just come back from a great week at this hotel. The staff are so friendly and the rooms are spotless. As i was not driving i used to the iride from outside the hotel to get around which was great. The hotel provides free shuttles to seaworld and universal. You can also get quick que passes from the hotel for seaworld. It was great to be able to go downstairs and get a starbucks in the morning. I would def stay here again.

We spent two nights here after a 3-night stay in an older motel in St. Augustine during a week's vacation. First class and affordable all in one!

Great rooms-- clean and comfortable and QUIET despite lots of kids and families not to mention Sea World literally being across the street. The pool area was a favorite of ours, especially our 2-year-old son. The free bus to/from Sea World was a huge bonus, and we loved the huge spread for breakfast every morning. The staff was great, especially the manager of the breakfast who went out of his way to offer my son a brand new stuffed toy sea turtle just for being there.

If we plan on another Sea World visit or a quick Orlando getaway we'll definitely stay there again. Marriott has a winner here.

Room Tip: Take advantage of the breakfast early in the morning. By 8 o'clock everyone is there and it can...

We stayed here for one night, but will definitely be back. The hotel is located across the street from Sea world. Our room was very clean. It had a microwave and small refrigerator. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was small I think it was only 4 ft at the deepest but would be great for families with small kids. It was not crowded and they had plenty to towels and chairs. I did enjoy the hot tub
TGI Fridays is in front of parking lot. Must go there, food was great! We sat at the bar to watch football, they have several TVs. We asked and they turned the tv in front of us to the game we wanted to watch. The staff was wonderful. The bartenders are very entertaining.

Room Tip: Booked the room on Marriott's website, the springhill suites is the sister hotel (next door to e...

We've stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, the staff of the hotel is very friendly and rooms are clean and spacious. Elevators do take some time to arrive however. Some of the hotel services (like the ticket-desk and shuttle transfer) are situated in the Springhill Hotel next door.

Just across the street you'll find Seaworld and the hotel offers a free shuttle service to Seaworld and Aquatica. Also a free shuttle is available for the WDW Resort (only to Epcot but from Epcot you can find Disney Transportation to other parks) and the Universal Studios and Adventure Island (only once a day).

At just 5 min there's an I-Ride Trolley stop, at $1.25 ($1.50 as of October) per ride or $4 per day you can ride all of International Drive with an 4x per hour shuttle. This is a great tip from the hotel staff!

Free High-Speed WiFi is included and at $1 you can use a washer or dryer. Complimentary breakfast is also included and offers good value. As a Seaworld Partner the hotel offers complimentary Quick Queue Unlimited when the tickets are booked at the Concierge Desk

Why no 5-star rating?
- Concierge desk is rather slow (takes about 10 mins per party to get tickets) so prepare to wait in line for some time and you WILL get a special discount-ticket-timeshare-offer
- We've been approached 5 times about the Mariott Vacation Club (a timesharing presentation)
- Tapwater is awfull! (so it is in most of Orlando by the way). The 'Minute Made' Fresh Water at the breakfast was just regular tap water so please skip it and get a $.89 gallon of water at the grocery store (just a 5-min walk)

Room Tip: Higher Floors on SeaWorld side will also show you the Universal Studios fireworks

Stayed here 2 nights. Well placed on International Drive near Seaworld - the better part of International being south of "Blackpool with lights ". Very clean and new hotel - we booked a king room and we're upgraded to a king suite. Bed was very comfortable - it was perfect for our needs. Breakfast was adequate, if not a little unorganised. Get there early if you want to eat your breakfast in peace!! - there were lots of young children when we went but it was labour weekend and the breakfast was included in the room rate so did not expect too much. The hotel is well placed for the I4 and therefore everything without the need to drive along a very busy International Drive. Would definitely stay again.
