“Comfortable Elegance & Wonderful Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014

My family & I were fortunate enough to call the Waldorf home for 5 days this month. We say "home" because in many ways, that's how the staff made us feel. From Ryan's (the bellman) big smile & "Welcome to the Waldorf" greeting on arrival to our cold bottles of water & "We hope to see you soon" on our departure, the staff was wonderful. They all were thoughtful & professional.
The Waldorf is beautiful, but not so stuffy you feel uncomfortable walking to the pool in flip-flops. Speaking of the pool, having access to the adjoining Lazy River (next door @ the Hilton) was a real treat. We found the property to be a welcome break from a action-packed Disney vacation. Our son believes the Waldorf was every bit as much a part of our vacation as the parks...& that is a high compliment. Make sure & tell Ryan the Young's sent you.

Room Tip: If you get a chance, make sure you have a balcony to watch the nightly fireworks - it's worth it...

This is an exceptionally well appointed hotel and the staff are very friendly. I was especially impressed with the quality of our two bedroom suite. The hotel needs to improve its efficiency, however. The housekeeping services are not always timely, the service at restaurants is inconsistent, and the car circle is not well managed.

The Waldorf Astoria Orlando is my one of my favorite hotels in the United States. I love this hotel because it is beautiful, calm, elegant, and superb in every way.

The fact that it is located in the middle of the busiest amusement park area in the world has nothing whatsoever to do with it. I rarely wonder over to Disney. I just love to re-charge and spend time in the serenity of this hotel. The restaurant, the food, the bar, pool, golf course and spa are among the best ever for product quality and excellent service. The rooms are over-sized and elegant and the bathrooms are all marble and just beautiful.

The staff is amazing and the management team is so attentive it is hard to believe. Here is a great example: On my most recent visit the Hotel Manager greeted me at the door and remembered my name after many months. What a wonderful, unforgettable welcome!

After a long business week in Florida I decided to go the the Waldorf to relax and regain my energy. I accomplished that and had a great time doing it. I am sure I will be back again when I need to relax, get some sun, and the most wonderful pampering of body and mind.

My thanks to all of the wonderful managers and staff at the Waldorf in Orlando!

Room Tip: Every room is perfect!

For the second time, we stayed with my family for Father's Day weekend, and we were again very impressed with the Waldorf's service and amenities. I have a hard time imagining what would compel us to pay for any of the Disney resorts now that we have discovered the Waldorf. It is convenient, restful, and a nice break from the Disney magic when you need it.

Jason Smith and Bridget Poole were the two people we interacted with in advance of our stay - both were very helpful in making sure our four rooms were across from each other/connecting, etc. Last year, we booked out six rooms and the Waldorf was able to make sure we were close enough to make it very convenient for us.

Breakfast at Oscar's is definitely a highlight - what a beautiful spread of food! The pastry table alone was amazing, and I looked forward to see what new goodies they had every day. The juice bar offering different fruit juices was also a plus, in addition to all of the hot offerings (tip: if you ask, they will custom-make Mickey Mouse pancakes for the kids).

We also ate dinner at Le Luce and the Harvest Bistro at the Hilton. Another plus of the Waldorf is that you have access to the amenities of the Hilton Bonnet Creek next door, without having to deal with the crowds of that hotel. We would go over there to use the lazy river or eat at the restaurants, and then come back to our quiet, refined, classy resort after we couldn't take the noise/bustle of the Hilton. The weekend we were there was a special Cupcake themed weekend at the Hilton, so we went over to look at the cupcake displays and also for the big "reveal" of the giant 7 foot cupcake, after which they gave out free decorated cupcakes to all attendees.

We will definitely be back the next time we are at Disney - we're already looking forward to our next stay!

This hotel had the best service. Maybe it was a bit of luck but couldnt find a thing to complain: rooms were great, they gave us an early check in and a late check out without even asking for it, staff was always helpful, discrete and really well trained, pool was amazing, the food is great, the little surprises such as the fine chocolate table they set in some days of the week. Even amid the craziness that is thanksgiving, the hotel was exactly what I needed: an oasis of calm and peace to counterbalance the excitement from the parks. Loved it!

Second stay on this property. always awesome welcome by Valet and Front desk team .
housekeeping better than my first time. Room service also perfect. But this time I try the restaurant Bull and Bear .... I was very disappointed concerning this place by the service first who was very under level specially fromthe maître d. the only awesome person was a French barman who was really professional and helpful. But I be back but no more in the restaurant.Breakfast was great with nice choice and nice service from all team members.
