“A 10”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

The property is a 10. Beautiful, pristine grounds, superb staff, fantastic location. Enough cannot be said. After 10 plus stays at the Hilton bonnet creek and 3 to the Waldorf, I keep migrating back.

The downstairs rest. at the Hilton use to have a wonderful menu and was packed nightly. Not sure why the new manager changed the menu. The dinner menu is shorter than mcdonalds and the dinner crowd was like a ghost town. Breakfast in Jan. was the same. The breakfast buffet use to have the lids that closed and kept the food hot. Now the food sits out getting cold.

Th food at the Astoria was wonderful. Both hotels now charge a resort fee. Spa is wonderful.

Room Tip: Odd number rooms face the hotel.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

I spend a week there recently at a corporate function. Food and facilities were excellent. We spent multi millions there, so it ought to have been. My room was huge and comfortable.
Here are my criticisms: no indoor pool; no mini bar in the room I was in; staff couldn't get rid of you quick enough once your time had 'expired' despite us have 1500 people and spending millions at the property; their golf was badly organized...some kid asked me for $25 just to use the driving range despite having played there all week; the golf course staff are not very friendly and the golf tournament was chaotically organized; their tuition rates are extortionate. Bars are very poor and restraunts are a bit overcrowded. No hair dryer in room and the soaps etc not well replenished. WiFi access in the rooms is very expensive. It's not quite the top class Waldorf Astoria brand you would expect... but then again, Florida is emerging from a recession.

Room Tip: Check out WiFi prices and other added extras. $5 for a bottle of water in the room etc.

First, let me start this review by saying we weren't planning to stay at this hotel but I am so glad we did! We live in atlanta and were headed to Disney with our three girls. We assumed we would be able to get a hotel about half way. Well, everything was sold out on i75. I contacted Amex travel and they were able to book us a room at this wonderful hotel. We checked in very late (1am) and the staff welcomed us like it was the first hour of their shift. All smiles and so helpful! The room was nothing less than I would expect of this hotel. The bed was truly heavenly. The next morning we woke up to a beautiful view of a palm tree lined pool w cabanas. The hotels in the property share pools pool... Just FYI.. Then hotel next door has an amazing pool that my kids loved!! Lazy river, cabanas, zero entry pool etc. we went to the breakfast Buffett and it was perfect however pretty expensive at $32 per adult and $18 per child. We did have two breakfast included in our room so that helped. There was a bus service that went to the parks which was very close. It is a very centrally located hotel for disney. I wish we were staying the week at this hotel!

On a side note, the staff really is amazing! We had a friend whose child passed away durning the holidays from a long bout with cancer. The mom took her other daughter to Disney for Christmas because she could not bear to be at home with out her other daughter. We called concierge to let them know of their arrival. The hotel went above And beyond for this family including putting a Christmas tree in their room. While this hotel may be a little bit more expensive than some other disney hotels it is worth every penny!

My Partner and I stayed here for two weeks last September. We arrived at the hotel from the outside as you pull up it does not have the wow factor. When you go inside your opinion will change, it is very nice.
We checked in then went to our room, we where staying for two weeks and I must admit that when I got to the room I was very disappointed. The wardrobe space was very poor, the standard of the room was good but not great. I heard after my trip that Orlando is like this a tad old fashioned. The room air con or central air was very noisy. Never experienced this in any five star I have ever stayed in.
We complained to the hotel who showed us several rooms but all seemed to have this problem. They moved us to a suite which was very nice over facing the golf course, lovely views but listen out for the green being cut in the morning.
The breakfast was great anything that you could wish for and If they did not have it out no problems they would get it you.
The pools to both of the hotels are lovely and I must say it is nice to walk the grounds.
The hotel is very close to the Disney attractions and they lay on a bus which is very handy.
The food at the bull and bear restaurant is lovely and would say is a must. The steak and lobster was a real treat after the theme parks.
The only thing in think the hotel should consider is having rooms with washing and drying facilities as you will want to wash your clothes. As it is so humid.
The hotel try in every way to accommodate your need very nice.
Also the spa is defo worth a visit I had some great treatments whilst I was on holiday

Would recommend this hotel- beautiful rooms and pool area. But there should be free wi if in the rooms given the nightly rate. However, I must say, the check in process when they describe the "complete check in package" that is the key & map is a tad over the top.

The hotel is conveniently located, wonderful for business or pleasure. Everything is on the grounds- several restaurants and bars, pool, huge convention space absolutely ideal. Rooms were nicely appointed.

This was my second time at Waldorf Orlando. This time was with the kids. We had a great suite with connecting room. The hotel is located in a very nice location. The buses to the disney parks made things so easy. It was only a 20 minute rise to island of adventures so we were covered. The breakfast buffet each morning was the highlight. There was something for everyone and if you could not find it, they would make it for you. Dinner at Bull and Bear was fantastic and after a long day at parks it was sooo nice to have great food in same hotel.
