Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek® is a new family-oriented resort close to Orlando's theme park magic -Excellent customer service but lots of fees (see review) . Located within the gates of Walt Disney World® Resort, the resort is nestled in the serene 482-acre Bonnet Creek nature preserve, easily accessible to Universal Orlando Resort® and Sea World Orlando ® as well. The resort is well layed out and offers 1,001 spacious and elegantly appointed guest rooms and suites and an array of family activities and amenities -among my favorites are a 3-acre lazy river pool with water slide that is ranked #1 on the TripAdvisor Top 10 Resort Pools® -daily poolside activities made my stay great! This really is the distinct value of the hotel. Negatives- There is a daily resort fee but you will also find this same fee at resorts like Hyatt Grand Cypress® and Wyndham Bonnet Creek@ (Wyndham resort fee is lower thou and includes internet -$16 vs $22 or $25). The WA Kids Club, at the adjacent Waldorf Astoria Orlando, offered a variety of creative and educational activities for children ages 5-12. Another benefit with cost next door is the WA Spa but to relax with the spa's tea lounge, steam room, and jacuzzi is another daily fee of $30.
I recommend not renting a car (the resort has an expensive parking fee) and using the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek complimentary luxury motorcoach transportation to Disney theme parks including Magic Kingdon®, Epcot®, Disney's Hollywood Studios® and Disney's Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney® by Mears transportation (not as convenient as onsite Disney but good).
The resort also offers championship golf (fun even for beginners), a relaxing spa, and twelve restaurant and lounges including the acclaimed La Luce by Donna Scala. The guest room featured a seating area, marble bathroom (note shower had low pressure -hotel said working on that) the size was approximately 414 square feet of space a llarger 37-inch high-definition flat-screen television and the Stereo alarm clock am/fm radio with MP3 connection were all functional. I did not like (even though complimentary for Gold and higher HHonors members) internet access as it only allows one device and wife and I both have lap tops and cell phones. For families consider upgrading for space to A Hilton Suite as they can help w/ requirements such as more space for family in residence, or simply for entertaining 1,665 square feet of space Spacious living room with a queen-size sleeper sofa (kids never do get great bedding except at suite oriented properties.
Hilton Signature Serenity BedTM and the Peter Thomas Roth® bath and shower amenities add to the bathroom but again water pressure is a problem. Wireless and Ethernet high-speed Internet services are okay -but again limited. The Work desk with two-line telephone with voicemail is great for those attending conferences, I did like the Mini-refrigerator and coffeemaker but found more functional space at a nearby Homewood Suites in Lake Buena Vista if you are a Hilton fan. TheHilton Orlando Bonnet Creek is now featuring PURE Rooms, an allergy-friendly, healthier alternative and the rooms do smell fresh, the actual Serenity Bed TM is nice but not as comfortable as the Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista in my opinion.
I did find the dining options limited Harvest Bistro - Overlooking the pool, this restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and brunch. A children's menu is available. La Luce - Overlooking the pool, this restaurant specializes in Italian cuisine and serves dinner only. Guests can enjoy drinks at the bar. MUSE - This coffee shop serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Guests can enjoy drinks at the bar. Afternoon tea is offered. The most expensive thing onsite is
24-hour room service available with 4x the price of comparible resorts go to Downtown Disney for much less.
Room Tip: I suggest parlor rooms with king beds Disney/Pool view
