We spent 1 1/2 days at Epcot as it is really hard to do everything in one day and they don't have as long hours as Magic Kingdom. We arrived 15 minutes before it opened and had our game plan (we went during Spring Break so it was essential to have one). My husband went and got Fastpasses for Mission Space while my son and I waited in line for Test Track. There was a chance of rain that day and we wanted to make sure we went on Test Track first because we were under the impression that they close it if it is raining. (Note, we did not get Fastpasses for Soarin' as we go to the one at Disneyland all the time).

We were done with Test Track by 9:30 and our Fastpass time for Mission Space hadn't arrived yet but the line was only 15 minutes long so we went on that without using our Fastpass. I was apprehensive about going on the more intense (orange) version but that had the shortest line so decided to give it a try. It was awesome. None of us felt sick and it was a great experience. So one hour at the park and we had two major rides done and an extra Fastpass to boot.

We then headed over to Livin with the Land and Nemo. Again, we walked right on. After we were done with those rides we were able to get another Fastpass so my husband got it for Test Track while we waited in line for Space Encounter (this ride was not that good). We were done with Future World by 12:00 (Body Wars and Cranium Command were closed). We then headed over to the World Showcase as we had made 1:00 reservations for Teppanyaki and didn't want to be late. On the way we grabbed a Fastpass for Maelstrom (which was OK).

Teppanyaki was good and kept my son entertained. After lunch it was time to explore the different countries. We bought the passport so it would be more entertaining for our son and it really is a great souvenir for kids. They also have a free craft you can do in each country if you don't want to buy the passport.

We had most of the countries done the first day but knew we had time to come back another day to finish up. The other day we went back was an extended hours for Disney resort guests but they kept the world showcase open to everyone and did a second showing of Illuminations. We just couldn't go on the rides so that worked in our favor as well. We spent that evening sampling the different counter service foods from most of the countries. All the food was good. The shopping was fantastic too. Liked Japan the best for that. Epcot was my husband's favorite park but I don't think I can pick just one.

Hello,
I've just returned from Orlando, FL. I went to Epcot 4/7/2007 and it was crowded. On Soarin ( I think it is the preferred attraction) the waiting times was about 180 minutes. We gave up.There wasn`t anymore FastPasses tickets, so if you want to go there you need to arrive at the Park Gates early before they are open. On Mission we went just in (not so emotion) green team. The other one was about 140 minutes waiting in line.

I went to the other attractions without any problem. If you can plan ahead your vacations, I think is better to go there in other months. I went to other parks in Orlando area last year in November and everything was awesome! No lines. We could enjoy all attractions any times we wanted.

I went to other parks (Sea World, Busch Gardens, All Universal, MGM). All of them was too crowded.I won't go to Orlando in then end of March or April anymore. If a friend of mine asked me an opinion I would say: Don't Go!!!

Thanks
Joao

Just returned from Orlando and we were surprised at the short lines or wait( 20-30 minutesat most) for rides. We walked right on Soarin' which was great and fast passed everything else. Rode Test Track twice, Mission Space twice, and we loved Turtle Talk with Crush after Nemo. Honey I Shrunk the Audience is always good for a laugh! We did not spend anytime in World showcase preferring Future World.

“Fluff triumphs over substance.”

I was not impressed. Long lines, high prices, and surprisingly little to see. In a nutshell, an ersatz world's fare, with less educational value (sum and substance of the Norway exhibit: "the spirit of Norway is in its people.") If you want to learn about the rest of the world, go to a good museum, or better yet, travel abroad.

The nations represented are largely western European. No representation of any countries that might risk giving rise rise to controversy, or offending Disney's audience. Some Middle Eastern exhibits would have been welcome, as would greater African representation. India also deserves representation, as the world's second most populace nation and a rising economic power.

I realize that Disney sees and presents the world through rose-colored glasses, but I think it could also do a service by touching on the difficult subjects of our time. Case in point: climate change. Despite all the exhibits dealing with the environment, the subject never came up.

The world is an interesting and rather daunting place, but you would never know that by going to Epcot.

Beautiful setting any time of year. Epcot is not only educational but truely fun and lovely to walk around any season. I am a mom of a toddler - and my daughter enjoys Epcot just as much as I do. The character greetings are never a long wait , as other parks are. The shopes are authentic in design and products are imported from their native lands. If you dont know Epcot- They have a Section of the Worlds countries- such as Canada, Mexico, Norway( Norway has a wonderfully tasty authentic Norwegian restaurant- that is a Princess story book Character meet and greet. Where the Princesses come to the table as you and your child eat on really great food. It is =diffrent- in taste than American palate- so be prepared. .. Dress your child up in princess attire, they take photos with a princess- $approx $35 a photo package. I never miss this feast.) Japan has a really fun shopping area, filled with all kinds of teas, toys . Its really great.
Mexico , well, I am a true lover of Mexican food.. the restaurant in side here isnt so good. Its not bad- just not good. There is also a great ride in here- for all ages( they are redoing this ride- to gear it toward the little ones). Its a boat ride- relaxing and calm.
They have stands selling all kinds of foods and beverages. I liked the Italian Gelato stand.. very good Gelato. In France- there is a crepe stand... Terrible( and I love crepes) . In Germany , there is a wonderful Pretzel stand.. SOOOOOOOOO good.
Taste one. Germany has a nice Hummel shoppe. You can even have a hummel signed from an actual artist. I did! The Wines in Germany are Great!!!! The best!!! We tried alot here at Epcot, we were here for a food and wine Festival 2x over the last 2 yrs.
So we know our wines .. hA!!!. I am not a drinker at all..
But we tasted - and Germany won in our minds. There is alot to do and see here at World showcase- . crafts for the kids to do also.. free of charge ( well included in admission of course).
Nemo - Ride, is cute- My toddler loves it. The Land is a food area which you should avoid at all cost. We had to return our hard bread- unedible. OHHHHH..
There is an awesome Coca cola fountain tasting center FREEEEEEEE!!! OH my its from around the world drinks.. you can taste as you wish.. Great on a hot day.
I love walking around the lake and taking in the decorations and beauty they recreated of all the lands and such. Lovely rose garden too... I also return at least 2 times during a 4 day stay at Orlando's Disney World. I am a fan of Epcot- the food is where its at in Disney.. and the shoppes are great. Have fun!
Save money for this trip - youll want it all.
