We spent 1 1/2 days at Epcot as it is really hard to do everything in one day and they don't have as long hours as Magic Kingdom. We arrived 15 minutes before it opened and had our game plan (we went during Spring Break so it was essential to have one). My husband went and got Fastpasses for Mission Space while my son and I waited in line for Test Track. There was a chance of rain that day and we wanted to make sure we went on Test Track first because we were under the impression that they close it if it is raining. (Note, we did not get Fastpasses for Soarin' as we go to the one at Disneyland all the time).
We were done with Test Track by 9:30 and our Fastpass time for Mission Space hadn't arrived yet but the line was only 15 minutes long so we went on that without using our Fastpass. I was apprehensive about going on the more intense (orange) version but that had the shortest line so decided to give it a try. It was awesome. None of us felt sick and it was a great experience. So one hour at the park and we had two major rides done and an extra Fastpass to boot.
We then headed over to Livin with the Land and Nemo. Again, we walked right on. After we were done with those rides we were able to get another Fastpass so my husband got it for Test Track while we waited in line for Space Encounter (this ride was not that good). We were done with Future World by 12:00 (Body Wars and Cranium Command were closed). We then headed over to the World Showcase as we had made 1:00 reservations for Teppanyaki and didn't want to be late. On the way we grabbed a Fastpass for Maelstrom (which was OK).
Teppanyaki was good and kept my son entertained. After lunch it was time to explore the different countries. We bought the passport so it would be more entertaining for our son and it really is a great souvenir for kids. They also have a free craft you can do in each country if you don't want to buy the passport.
We had most of the countries done the first day but knew we had time to come back another day to finish up. The other day we went back was an extended hours for Disney resort guests but they kept the world showcase open to everyone and did a second showing of Illuminations. We just couldn't go on the rides so that worked in our favor as well. We spent that evening sampling the different counter service foods from most of the countries. All the food was good. The shopping was fantastic too. Liked Japan the best for that. Epcot was my husband's favorite park but I don't think I can pick just one.
