Stayed at the Hard Rock (for the 4th year in a row) from 21st October for 4 nights. Staff are great : especially the Valet Guys who are just so friendly. Room 3095 is the one that we have had 3 out of the 4 stays. Handy for the shop and you don't need to get in the lift. Food at the Beach Club was great...starters were enough for a meal!

Last day met Vince Neil from Motley Crew who was playing the Velvet Sessions that night.

Can't imagine ending our holiday in Florida anywhere else...possibly the coolest hotel in the world? We think so.

  • Liked — Good facilities in the room
  • Disliked — Quite a noisy hotel - not for the faint hearted!!

This is the motto of the Hard Rock Hotel and it is evident everywhere in how the staff treat every age group. My husband and I stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel from 23rd to 30th Oct and we both loved our stay there. The staff were all so pleasant and attentive. The Halloween Horror night at Universal was fantastic and we would then come back to the Velvet Bar for a few drinks. The cocktails were superb. A grey goose and lemonade was $10 as were most of the cocktails. Some guys arrived in from the park with their faces painted and big hats with flashing lights on and the bar staff didn't look at them twice, just got on with getting them a beer. So cool to have staff like that who don't judge at all.
This was the same night Vince Neill (Motley Crue) was sitting at the bar and being really nice to anyone who approached him. Not for me, I like my rock a bit heavier...Rammstein anyone ?
Our room was bigger than most hotel rooms and spotlessly clean, nice widescreen TV, CD player with a disc made up for us of mixed rock tunes which was a nice touch. The bed was very comfortable and nice toiletries replenished every day.
We didnt eat in the hotel at all but ate several times in City Walk restaurants. A bus driver told us the best ribs were in the Nascar Cafe and he wasn't wrong. They were gorgeous and we were able to people watch as we ate.
The hotel air-con was set too cold for me in the lobby, bar and corridors, baltic would be the word..but I was able to keep the room air con off.
The week-end brought big numbers of american teenagers with hormone overload ensuing and no sign of any parents. The pool was a pain with all this flirting, ie playfighting, screaming, splashing etc but thankfully they all left on Sunday and the hotel was nice and quiet again...
We would recommend this hotel and will stay here the next time we're in Orlando, we have been well and truly spoilt ! Loved it !

What can i say, amazing
very spacious rooms, with everything you need in them
Pool open till 11pm most nights was a real treat, for kids and us!
(the pool bar also serves great cocktails.)
All the staff from valet parking, reception, concierge, pool bar were excellent.
If you go you have to eat in the Palm restaurant, off the main lobby, it was truly wonderfull, 4 people, three courses of 5* food including wine and drinks for $250 (£125).
The velvet bar off the main lobby is very good for late night drinks, althought kids are not allowed in the bar, they are allowed on the balcony overlooking the pool, which has great outdoor sofas.
You can't beat the location of this hotel, a 5 minute walk to universal studios and islands of adventure, combined with your room key for fast pass access to all rides was a major saving, no long queues.
Again only 5 min walk, or courtesy water taxi gets you too citywalk, opposite universal/island with an abundance of great bars/restuarants,
Recomendations to eat -
Buby gump shrimp co - great Foret Gump themed restaurant with really good food
Nascar - for sports fans, TV screens everywhere all running american sports constantly.
Hard rock cafe - Food wasn't the greatest, just ok, but the surroundings are great, take your camera.
NBA sports - Good food, worth a try.

All in all you can't beat the Hard Rock Hotel, for luxury, style & quality. I will be going back with no hesitation.

We booked club level this break and it was a good choice as there was plenty to eat for breakfast but to be honest the kitchen is better for breakfast. Club gives you a good deal if there are more than 2 of you in a room. cookies were good at night. Hotel service was good and the pool snack bar was pretty reasonable for food (huge portions and not expensive). Did not use any of the other fod outlets this trip.

My family of 5 (3 sons) just got back from staying 4 nights. Everything was nice and clean. The pool was wonderful and not crowded at all. We walked to the parks and citywalk everyday which was very convenient. we ate at the ice cream shop every evening (try the emack attack!) Staying here was worth it for the express pass alone(never waited for a single ride!) My 14 year old wannabe rock star son loved it too!
