“2013 Hamilton Band Trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

We recently stay here for a band trip and we all seemed to have a really good time. Everyone was very friendly and they had themed movie nights. Also plenty of games around the pools for the kids to do. The air units in the rooms were very loud though about 2 in the morning for some reason. And the room never really cooled off. But all in all it was a very nice resort.

Once again my grand daughter and I stayed here. We were in the Broadway 8 series building. The room was very clean. It was the perfect size for just the two of us. If traveling with a larger group you may be tight since the rooms only have two double beds. We did eat at the food court twice during our stay and the food was good. There were large groups of kids during our stay this year, but they were not loud at all. One group staying in our building had a monitor sitting outside to make sure the kids stayed in their rooms at night. I would stay here again when we visit for the price value. We spend most of our time in the parks so it is only a place to sleep and swim if we have time. The buses were great with getting us to the parks and never had to wait long. My only complaint is that you hear the water running from other rooms.

My wife and I spent a week here while visiting Disney. We picked it because it was the cheapest place we found on the Disney property. We were not disappointed, but all we did there was sleep. The room was not very big, but was clean and comfortable. Our rooms were cleaned each day. The pools were nice. The guitar shaped pool was where the action was, with games and activities. The piano shaped pool was a little quieter.

I can't see spending hundreds of dollars per night for a room, when we spent all day at one of the parks.

Just go back from Disney's All Star Music hotel and the family suite accommodations were perfect for husband, me and our 3 twenty-something kids. Plenty of room even with 3 pull outs open, although hassock bed had to be in area between living room and kitchen. Husband and I slept in bedroom and door kept our snoring from disturbing kids. Two bathrooms was great too. Although some reviewers complained about the furniture being worn, we didn't think so and liked the retro look. Walk was a bit far from lobby but that's typical. We even had that happen when we stayed at the Grand Floridian. Our only complaint was the time it took to get from A-S Music to Downtown Disney. The route is so out of the way that it took us over 1/2 hr. No way is it that far!

We had two issues with housekeeping which were addressed by hotel: first night I turned down bed spread to find a child's sock between spread and sheet. Since it was very late, I didn't call until morning since I questioned cleanliness. They were there in 2 minutes to change linens. Also maid restocked coffee with only decaf. My husband had to chase down 2 carts before he could find caffeinated coffee for our morning cup since we like to have one as the kids get ready. Decaf just doesn't work the same.

I guess you get what you pay for eventhough you are still paying a lot to stay here. It is one of the cheaper properties on Disney and includes the Disney shuttle and Magical Express but the rooms are not the best. The bed and pillows were not comfortable. The food at the dining hall was outrageously priced.

This Disney resort hotel is a good value for the money, if you prefer the convenience of staying on WDW property. Staying on location at Disney is great, with the convenience of buses to get to the parks, which run about every 15-20 minutes. Also, if you buy things at the shops in the parks they will send it to your hotel for you so you don't have to lug it around all day or on the bus.

The room itself was ok, but nothing really special. There were several items that were annoying, such as a water leak around the shower head in the bathroom that caused water to drip on the floor during a shower, lights in the bathroom and vanity area that flickered and were dim, drawers that didn't close properly in the dresser. These are minor things, but not what we've come to expect from Disney's usually very high standard of quality. The room and grounds were clean. We both felt the bed (we had a king) was too hard - I would consider it fairly firm overall. It was acceptable for the 3 nights we stayed.

The common areas were nice. There was one larger pool and one smaller one, and there were plenty of chairs during the day for lounging around, as well as activities and games for the kids. Check-in and out was a breeze with friendly, helpful staff. Overall, we found the hotel to be very family friendly, and that is the majority of the guests we saw - families with kids, along with large school groups of kids (middle and high school). We would consider this hotel in the future if we had kids with us, but otherwise we would probably try to find someplace a little nicer and quieter.

This was my first time at Disney. The resort is value and is nothing fancy. The experience is still 100% Disney Magical. The room was cleaned each day, the bed was decent, and the towels were fresh. Wifi is complimentary (no extra charge) at the resort. I was able to access wifi in the lobby and rooms with no problem. I did not check at the pool, but I would expect it to work at the poolside as well. The cafeteria is nice with several food options. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone. The transportation was pretty good (on time) from this resort to the parks.

Room Tip: A Preferred room gets you poolside, but it may be louder than the standard.
