The Portofino Bay Hotel is wonderful! We just returned from a 4 night/5 day visit and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The hotel really is HUGE and there is so much to do onsite that I hated to leave for the parks! The staff was knowledgeable and responded to all of our requests quickly. I read the earlier reviews and some of the complaints are petty and ridiculous. This is a top notch hotel with everything you need at your fingertips. Mamma Della's had a great menu with excellent service. I casually mentioned that we let my daughter choose the vacation because she made A's all year. They brought dessert for 3 to us on a beautiful plate with "congratulations" written in chocolate. We also enjoyed the salads and pizza at Sal's and breakfast at Trattoria del Porto. The shops onsite had great souvenirs to bring to friends and family. We didn't try Bice but I plan to on our next visit. They also have pool areas to match your needs, the Villa Pool was lovely if you enjoy relaxing and the Beach Pool is great for families and hanging out. My husband and I simply could not find anything to complain about here. The Express Pass for onsite guests is a winner!! We rode our favorites 2-3 times! Of course everything is pricey but here you really get what you pay for!

This hotel is excellent. Great service..Great room. Great food. great location. What more could you ask for in the heart of all the action near Universal, Citywalk and Islands of Adventure. Will definitely want to stay here again.

This hotel is GORGEOUS but expensive! I had a one-day business meeting and only stayed one night. I wish it could have been a week. I felt like royalty here! The grounds are beautiful - authentic Italian feel. The staff was so helpful and kind. I can't rave enough about the customer service. The only meal I ate there was room service and it was better than most restaurant meals I've had this month! The room was so pretty and the bed so comfy. The bathroom was huge and nicely appointed. If I ever go back to Orlando I want to stay here again! Also, I wish I had some kids with me. If you were a kid/teenager this hotel would be a blast. The water park itself was so neat.

This hotel is lovely! Forget about the theme park, this is a destination resort on its own. A resemblance of Portofino, Italy. with a courtyard of a few restaurants and shops surrounding a little harbor. A family pool with a beach that shows night movies, and an adult pool with hot tube and cabanas. Launch takes you to Universal and Citywalk which is very convenient. So good that my husband wants to back.
