“Great Customer Service........ NOT!!!!”
Here is a copy of the email I've just emailed to Motel 6 via their website
To whom this may concern
Hello, my name is Rolando E Blake Jr. I WAS a loyal customer who has stayed at various Motel 6's through out the last yr (Going on 10 separate visits). The reason why I am writing this email is to inform you about my latest visit to the Motel 6 on International Dr in Orlando on 04/02/2012.
I live in Miami, Fl, so back on March 21st, 2012 once I found out I had an important test for my job, I went ahead and reserved a 1 night stay for April 2nd, 2012. My order went through & I received a confirmation # via email, etc.
Upon my arrival to the Motel 6 to check in at about 7:30 pm(after I drove the 3+ hrs). I was advised by the front desk representative AND the manager that I was no longer welcomed to Motel 6 and that "you no longer wish to do business with me". Calmly, I asked "why?" and the reply I received was "Did you remember what you did during your last stay?" I then asked "when was my last stay & what was it that I did during my last stay since I am not aware as to what is going on", and you simply stated that your sorry and you no longer wish to do business with me.
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! YOU GUYS DESERVE A METAL!!!
Obviously, there is no apparent reason as to why I couldn't stay. Even the manager WHO WAS AT THE FRONT DESK couldn't provide me with a reason NOR the date of my last stay... She obviously deserves manager of the year when it comes to "How not to treat your loyal customers".....
In addition, it would've been common courtesy to
1.) Not allow me to book the stay if "you no longer wish to do business with me"
2.) Give me either a phone call, courtesy email, mail me a letter, etc( or any other forms of communication)... advising me as to my "last visit" and why "you wish to no longer do business with me"
3.) Cancel out my reservation AFTER YOU ADVISED ME IN MY FACE THAT I couldn't stay. But you couldn't do that, what you did do was still leave the reservation in, and if it wasn't for me returning 5-10 minutes later REQUESTING PROOF OF CANCELLATION (So I wouldn't get charged by a company who no longer values my business) I would've gotten charged for the night any ways.
The most frustrating part about this whole ordeal is that due to the "non communication" on behalf of Motel 6 I had to literally hunt all night for a place to stay. Finally 2 1/2 hrs later I was able to find a motel, the only problem was IT WAS IN A DIFFERENT CITY IN A DIFFERENT COUNTY!!!
In all honesty, I will never reserve a room with another Motel 6 again whether in Orlando, Miami, or any other city in the entire country, period! I will never refer any of my friends or family members to reserve with motel 6 again, either. Lastly I will be adding a review on trip adviser.
I hope Motel 6 starts looking at training its "friendly" staff and incompetent "managers' on CustomerService101 as I wish for this to never happen to another customer.
A FORMER customer
