“Close to Epcot and great swimming!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

This resort is in walking distance of Epcot, a definite plus. My biggest complaint was that the dresser and desk needed wiped off in my room and the room next door. The pool area is great and my kids loved the water slide.

Room Tip: We liked having a pool view.

My family just returned from a wonderful Disney vacation. We stayed at Disney's Beach Club Resort, which is one of the Epcot resorts. The location is wonderful. Walking distance to Epcot, the Board Walk, and to Hollywood Studios. It's a toss up whether my kids had more fun at the Hotel pool/water slide or whether it was at the Disney parks. We're not the kind of family that go to the parks from the time the parks open until they close. We were at the Beach Club pool a lot and really enjoyed ourselves. I've never been in a pool before with a sand bottom. Very cool! I can't wait to go back to Disney again next and will definitely consider staying at the Beach Club Resort again.

Planning a trip to Disney can be overwelming to say the least! So many hotels, park options, meals plans, park ride plans, etc. to consider. I worked with Lynda Hower at Dream Makers Vacation Services to plan everything. She made planning so easy, and she had lots of great suggestions. Thank you, Lynda!!

The pool, as reviewed, is great and definately a kid pleaser. My 7 yr old could not get enough of the slide! Free wifi at Disney was a wonderful bonus. Beyond that the resort was a dud. I don't think I encountered anyone on staff that was overly pleasant. If you are on the dining plan, quick service breakfast choice is most nil, particularly for kids. We left with almost half of our quick service meals unused. Room was clean, but average. We got the towel animals the first two nights that we were there and then nothing - that was a bummer for my son - he so anticipated that every day after our trip to wilderness lodge several years ago. Stay there instead!

Mt husband and I , and my daughter, and grandaughter age 11 stayed on the club floor of the Disney Beach Club Resort for 3 days in mid June. The concierge service was very helpful and friendly our whole stay. Our garden view rooms were quite spacious, and had nice bathrooms. The 4 of us had breakfast in the concierge lounge every morning. They had a toaster for bagels, hot oatmeal with various toppings, 3 cold cereals, juices, coffee, tea, milk, cold hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, and sweet rolls......very comfortable, quick ,and plenty to eat. They also had a tv with cartoons for smaller children. In the afternoon ,they had beer and wine and some hors d'oeuvres, and always a fridge with water and soft drinks available. In the evening before bedtime they had desserts and cordials. This service made getting to the parks early a bit easier. The hotel pools are amazing..they have sandy bottoms..and there are 3 of various depths..as well as a lazy river with inner tubes and a big waterslide.....one area is 2' deep so parents can sit waist deep with smaller non-swimmers...there are many active life guards as well.In the late afternoon, when many people are hot and tired from park adventures, they have pool games for kids..seems especially well suited for tweens and they give out prizes...the pools are also busy in the evening...there is an outdoor restaurant and bar that was very popular.they have a spa and arcade room...so lots for kids to do on property. The Yacht Club hotel is somewhat attached, and they seem to share the pools, gym, and spa...there is a nice sidewalk that leads you in 5 minutes strolling time into the International entrance to Epcot....so very convenient for the restaurants in the countries sections and for the big evening fireworks show. There is a pretty dock area where the ferry boat lands that will take you to Hollywood studios. It was very hot when we were there ,so the big adjoining pools were so very welcome and fun for our multi-generation family.we did not eat in the Cape May Restaurant, but did walk to dinner next door to the Yachtsman Steakhouse restaurant one night, and to Le Cellier in in the Canada section of Epcot on another night.Great service at both restaurants...the food at le Cellier was amazing. andboth had great wine list. Checking in and out of the Beach Club was a snap.We self parked easily too.I highly reccomend this hotel for Epcot and Hollywood Studio goers, and for kids and grown ups who enjoy pool time.I give this hotel top ratings.Ask for softer pillows if the ones they give you are too hard for you.You will enjoy your visit. The clientel there seemed well mannered and friendly too.

Room Tip: 5th floor concierge garden view

We had stayed here about a year ago and while in Florida last week decided to eat at Cape may and see if things had improved. This is our favorite resort on property. The roos are great and the location is perfect. Most of the people are wonderful. We just had a few issues. One of the biggest trhe way you are treated on your day of departure. When you check in there is someone waiting out front to greet you and help get you checked in and that whole expierence is so wonderful. But when your leaving they bother you from 7:00am until you get your luggage out the door. We had late chech out but was still going to be out before the 11:00am time.Housekeeping and the housekeeping manager never stopped knocking until we left. There needs to be as much attention given to the departing guest as the arriving ones. Disney should want the lasting impression to be a great one so you can't wait to return. Still a great resort!

The best thing about this hotel is the pools-and there are serveral. For families with small children, there is a huge 'sand' pool with a beach/ocean feel. My three year old granddaughter was able to roam this area freely and the water never went over her knees. There are life guards strategically stationed even in this area so we were able to relax while our little one played with other children. For the slightly older kids, (4-12 ish) there were daily pool activites that we observed the kids really enjoying. My favorite part was the Stormalong Bay-got in my floater tube and stayed cool while enjoying sun: total relaxation. There are also four hot tubs
loctaed throughout the pool area. For those who don't have little ones, there is a 'quiet' pool by the hotels guest laundry room.
The rooms were okay. Although claiming to accommodate 5, our room had two very comfy queen size beds...where a 5th person could possible sleep puzzles me. The room was very nice, but it was like walking through a maze, and a hike, from the elevator to the room. The hotel in general needs some serious updating, but because we like the pool so much, we weren't too put off by that.
We weren't impressed by food at the restaurants. The selection of food was limited, especially at the Cape May Cafe for dinner. Very over priced, and I felt it was insulting for Disney to assume a 18 to 20% gratuity for a server at a buffet who literally brings one beverage to the table and then the check!
Our next trip is in 2014-we're headed back to our favorite: the Grand Floridian.

Room Tip: Be sure to ask to a room close to transportation...if not it could take almost 5 minutes tonged from...

We have stayed at the Beach Club in Disney twice now. It is an outstanding property. The location is key. You can walk to Epcot and boat/walk to Hollywood. The pool is impressive. My kids go down the slide a gazillion times. The Marketplace is wonderful for quick breakfast and other needs. They have a variety of emergency supplies on their shelves if you forgot something from home. The rooms are clean and seem in pretty good condition.

We paid for garden view but asked for water view when we got there (doesn't hurt to ask). We were able to get partial water view at no additional cost. It was great waking up and looking out over beach and boardwalk area.

Beaches and Cream is a must... order the kitchen sink.
Cape May Cafe is yummy. My kids really like it there and the staff are really nice.

Room Tip: If you are not happy with your room location, it doesn't hurt to ask for a change. Busy times w...
