“Another Great Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2012

This was our second stay at Boardwalk Inn. We had another great trip this time. Check in was efficient and quick. We stayed in room 3206 which is on the far side of the resort overlooking the quiet pool. We had a great view and never heard any noise. The room was spotless (thanks Nazeem) and spacious by Disney standards. Tip: although the room is far from the lobby you can use the nearest stair well to exit out to the quiet pool and walk across to the large staircase that leads to the lobby. It is a beautiful walk through the landscaping and it is MUCH faster. We did the same thing the last time we were there and stayed near the quiet pool. The check out process was very smooth and the resort had our magical express ride to the airport lined up and boarding passes printed out and placed on the door. The last morning we checked our luggage in at the airline desk, dropped our carryon with bell services, did the express check out and were off to the parks in less than 10 minutes. Now that is service. Never had to wait long for bus service to the parks but we waited a very long time for bus service back to the resort. Another tip is if you are coming from Animal Kingdom to Boardwalk Inn it will be the last stop on the line. Swan is first, so just hop off there and walk along the Boardwalk back to your room. If you have enough energy left to do that, it is a big time saver and is a pleasant walk. I suppose a lot of people are doing that now because there is a path worn through the bushes that is a short cut to the sidewalk and you don't even have to go through the resort!
Boardwalk Inn is a great choice if you spend a lot of your time at Epcot like us. We love the ease of just walking over to the World Showcase and having Dinner. It's a longer walk to Hollywood Studios but the boat is available also. Overall, a great stay and we will be back.

Room Tip: If you have mobility issues make a request in advance for a room close to the lobby. If you do not...

I have stayed at many Walt Disney World Resorts, but the Boardwalk is by far my favorite. The whole atmosphere is great, old seaside themed. There is even an actual boardwalk that is nice to walk on and see everything.

I have stayed here three times in many different rooms. The first time we stayed in a room that was located down towards the ESPN Club. We thought noise would be a concern, but we never heard anything. We were on the back of the building facing a nice grassy area, which was fine with us. The next time we stayed in one of the Vacation Club Villas. We had a two bedroom, which also included a living room area with a small kitchen. This was a very nice arrangement for any family with more than 4 or 5 people. The next time we got to stay in one of the rooms down in the grassy area by the pool we had seen on our first visit. It was quiet and easy to access from the main lobby.

We did have a problem on one of the visits that our room just had a wet stinch to it. We left and came back a few hours later and it was still there, so we went to the front desk and they happily moved us, to the room in the middle of the courtyard by the pool! Trust me, if you are nice, the Cast Members will be nice.

All in all it's a great place to stay. You're walking distance to EPCOT, and even Hollywood Studios if you want to walk a little farther. But there are also boats available for transportation. I have seen a lot of people talking about parking, but once you're at the resort you shouldn't need to go anywhere else. There are buses for transportation to all the parks. There are som nice restaurants around, and a great bakery. Take a walk over to the Beach Club and eat at the ice cream parlor there. These are good sized hotels rooms that will accomodate any size family. We had 5 grown adults in one of the rooms. Yes, you should be comfortable and in a clean space while you are on vacation, but hopefully you aren't just sitting in your room complaining about how room service is taking so long. You're at DISNEY WORLD! Go to a park!

Room Tip: If you're not dying to be on the front of the hotel where you can see the EPCOT fireworks and su...

This hotel was within walking distance to both Epcot Center and Hollywood studios making it convenient when traveling with a small child (no need to take the bus). There was also a boat available should you choose not to walk. The room was huge in comparison to those that we have stayed in at other disney resorts and the hotel was being beautifully decorated for christmas while we were there. It was neat to see the bakers putting up a life sized ginger bread house and the lobby smelled amazing. Another plus was the nightly entertainment on the boardwalk. It was nice to be able to go to the boardwalk for a magic show or juggling instead of staying late at the parks every night for the same old fireworks. It was also nice that the restaurants and candy shop were open late for snacks. I noticed that most of the other resorts do not have many food options and none that are open late. I will never stay at any other disney resort..

Room Tip: For a family of 3 with a young child, request a room with a king bed and a junior day bed. The room...

I really loved this inn. It is so nice and room was great. There are 2 pools. One is great for families and quiet one is great for couples.
Location is so amazing - Epcot with all restaurants is just 10 min on foot and Hollywood studios just 5 min on ferry

We stayed in Oct 2012. Top notch Disney Resort. The night time performances on boadwalk itself is fun and entertaining for all ages. All the resturants are great. The quick service is not a sit down place. If you want a sit down or even a place to sit you have to go to one of the other resturants. The food at all of them is outstanding. The Flying Fish will even take resort guest with no reservation. You do have to take a day to get used going outside to the boardwalk to get something to eat but after that you really don't notice. The pool and lifeguards are great. The boat over to Epcot, Studios and Beach Resort is fantastic!! Would stay here again without question.

The Boardwalk Inn is a fine place to stay. Excellent bed, quiet room with a nice balcony and perfectly acceptable furniture. The bathroom is a bit standard, but there is an external doublesink arrangement that worked well.

Services were fine. The room service food was well-prepared and delivered promptly. I was there for a business conference and found the conference center and services excellent.

The only problems with the Inn were its length (one can walk for quite awhile to one's room if far from the reception area) and the internet reception which was slow and spotty in the hotel. The latter complaint is something one can say of Disney as a whole.

That being said, these are very minor complaints. All in all, a fine place to stay at the Magic Kingdom.

Hotel and surroundings marvelous. Proximity to Epcot brilliant, literally 5 minute walk over the bridge. Couldn't have been better. Hotel staff and everything about it fantastic.

Only thing I think is missing for hotel guests is somewhere actually within the hotel (where you don't have to go outside) to eat. Would have been lovely to just get up and go downstairs for a sitdown breakfast, instead of grabbing something quick at the bakery outside and sitting outside (albeit nice water views). For breakfast they do have a very small counter in the hotel (which turns into the bar at night) where you can buy coffee and a bagel, so that's at least something. I think I would have preferred Disney to have a proper restaurant where you could get a buffet though.

After saying that, everything else was brilliant and it was a pleasure to stay there. Cat Cora's restaurant excellent and you must look around the Candy Shop on the Boardwalk. On Friday night we saw the magician which was fun.

Had a standard room which I think was adequate and when going outside the grounds are lovely. There is something about having a lot of grass around when you are staying at a hotel, it felt more normal and the kids could run around.

Room Tip: Just had a standard room on corner of lobby floor. Corner rooms are larger and this certainly was v...
