Let's start with the positives. Nice lanscaping. That about sums it up!
Now the negatives: I stay at many 5 Star Resorts and this is about equal to a Motel 6 when it comes to the staff. The staff at this hotel is the rudest I have ever experienced at a Marriott property. I will never return to this Marriott due to the arrogant and incompetent staff. I was attending my companies National Meeting and was instructed to wear our credentials to identify us as "VIP"'s. If we were VIP's I can't even imagine how the common folk are treated! Here's some specifics:
1. Called and asked for early housekeeping. Result: 3 hours later the room was still uncleaned.
2. Cashed a $100 dollar travelors check at the front desk. I asked for 5 twenties. I was told all I could have is a $100 dollar bill because they didn't want to run out of smaller denominations. Now I can't imagine this giant property running out of anything! I exchanged words with the desk manager took the $100 and walked into the lobby coffee shop and bought a soda with the $100 dollar bill.
3. Staff will run over you if you are in there way in the hallways.
4. Pool Restaurant Staff were rude and served me a raw hamburger.
5. Hawks Landing Steak House on property was horrible! I was told it recently won awards but here's what happened to us. Service was very slow. Forgot half our parties salads. Served me an overcooked $50 dollar steak. I sent it back and was then served a free raw steak. Creme Broulet was completely liquid with the exception of the burnt top. The food was bad, the service was bad, and the wait was bad!
I'll stop there because this review is getting long. I would encourage you to find another property. We did not bring kids, and it is definitely not kid friendly. Marriott should be ashamed to place their name on the front. I have enjoyed many Marriott properties and this one is pathetic! I am planning on writing Marriott about this as well so others may not have to experience what I did.
