My husband and I stayed at All-Star Movies Resort for one night on March 25 after a 6 night stay at Port Orleans French Quarter. We had not planned to stay at Movies but added one night there onto our trip after I got sick and was unable to drive the 8 hours we were supposed to that day. We called reservations and asked for a value room (we were broke by then :) and all they had was All-Star Movies.
I was very suprised at how nice this resort was. It was a nice fun place.
The check-in was very slow. About 35 minutes but when compared to the other lines you wait in at Disney World it is not that big of a deal.
There were many more children at All-stars than at Port Orleans.
The pool looked nice though we did not get to swim in it.
There is a great channel on the tv that runs 24 hour technicolor classic disney cartoons which was nice since I was in bed the whole time.
The room was ready when we arrived at 2 p.m. and the mousekeeping had done an excellent job of turning the room over. Everything was spotless.
We did feel that the decor was rather juvenile but it is fun if you have children and would be a great place for a family to stay.
There was a little more noise at this resort than at French Quarter. We frequently heard children running past the door, doors slamming, yelling, crying, laughing, etc. all hours of the day/night. Whereas, at our moderate we did not hear any of this ever.
There was adequate room for 2 adults. The room was smaller than Port Orleans but the bathrooms were of equal size. It was not uncomfortably small.
I would reccomend this hotel for families or for those on a budget. I would not reccomend this resort for those looking for a romantic/adult vacation. If that is your situation and you are on a budget, I would splurge and go to one of the moderates or even a deluxe. It is hard to feel romantic when the bedroom you are sleeping in has Herbie Love Bug wallpaper and Mickey Mouse curtains. We found Port Orleans French Quarter, a moderate, to be much more romantic.
Overall, I felt this was a great value for families and would stay there again if we take our children to disney.

Our first day at the resort was somewhat aggravating. I booked the trip 3 months in advance and specifically requested a fridge, two double beds and a crib as we were traveling with our two year old and 9 month old. We were TOLD that we had a room with one king size bed and when I told the woman that I requested two double beds she said that we could keep the king size bed at no extra charge (like she was doing me a favor by giving me something I didn't want.) We agreed at first, but when we got to the room the fridge was outside the door for my husband to bring in himself and there was no crib. They also gave us a room with a roll-in shower which meant no tub for the kids to bathe in for the length of our stay. I went to the front desk and requested a room change which they could not accommodate until the next day. A message was on our phone the next morning for us to confirm the room change which I did and they said the room would be ready by 11. We came back from Magic Kingdom around 2pm and the kids were sooo ready for their nap. I was told at the front desk that not only was our new room not ready, but our old room was not available. After I complained again
( and I'm a person that really does not like to complain) someone came over and eventually fixed the problem. Once we got to our new room we had to again request the crib and wait another half hour with a very tired baby until we received it. I just feel it took so much runaround and wasted time waiting. Although they gave me the fridge for free and a small discount off of our first night's stay, I was never given an apology for the frustration the errors caused to begin with. Overall, the attitude of most, but not all of the staff was disappointing.

I stayed at Disney's All Star Movies on March 9th with my friends on Spring Break. My family and I travel to Disney World almost every year and we have never stayed at the All Stars. We usually stay at the Wilderness Lodge and let me tell you I was shocked at how nice the All Stars were. The room was nice-we were at the Mighty Ducks part, the pools were awesome as well as the snack bar, arcade, and gift shop. For any college student going to Disney World on Spring Break with friends, I would suggest staying at the All Star Resorts, they are the cheapest so it wont break your budget and you can use the money towards other things like Pleasure Island at night, shopping, or dining. Besides, your at the parks all day, you really dont realize the room size, and all you want is a hot shower and a bed! Oh ya, buy the mugs at the snack shop, you get free drinks from pop to coffee for free, and bring them back year after year, you can use them over and over again! I look forward to returning to Disney World next year with my family for Spring Break.

We stayed at the all star movie resort in Walt Disney World. Had a great time were there in March 2006. The room was clean , housekeeping was terrific, food court needed some help with organization I recommend eating away from the resort this one anyway. The dinning package plan was terrific ended up saving money in the long run.
The room was good size for me and my two teen agers. Room came with a hair dryer, iron and ironing board, tub and shower and two full size beds with sealy matteresses that felt brand new , slept great
Disney transportation was fine except for a bit overcrowding the busses, never had to wait long for a bus

We just got home from Florida March 10,2006 and we stayed almost a week at all-star Movies resort. It is a little farther away but very quiet with alot of action. We loved it, the service is great. The help is wonderful. They went out of their way to make sure our trip was great. The first night we had two double beds, and my husband and I preferred a King. We talked to them and the next day they moved us into a King, and it was great. Our stuff was all moved no problems, we didn't have to do a thing. This was our first time a Disney, and I love the facilities. Fantasia pool was our favorite. Nicer atmosphere. Would recommend it again to everyone. I recommend you get the souvenier cups, and you get free drinks for your entire stay. (Coffee, tea, soda, whatever you like, they have great hot chocolate.)Thank you All-Star Movie Resort, we had a great time.
