“Great place to stay when your focus is on the park!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

My best friend and I stayed for 5 nights in August. We came to Disney specifically for the parks, so we weren't concerned with the resort we stayed in.
Being a value resort, All-Star Movies has all that you can ask for for the price you are paying! The only time we spent in our room was while we slept, but it was clean, the furniture was all new, and housekeeping had always cleaned up after we returned to our room at the end of the day.
We loved the food--we had the quick service dining plan and found there were great choices and we were never hungry!
The gift shop is enormous...the size of a Disney store back at home!
The desk staff were helpful and friendly.
We went to the pool twice, and both times enjoyed ourselves, and never had trouble getting a chair!
Overall, I have nothing but positive reviews for All-Star Movies.
If you just want a cheap place to stay that is close to the parks and you are guaranteed safety, this is a wonderful resort to choose!

What a nice place to stay. Great to be on the Disney property with use of their shuttles. Great price for really just sleeping and preparing for the world of Disney. Wonderful variety of food! All cast members were very helpful and had fun with the kids. Great for pin trading. Also liked that you could get life jackets to use while there.

We recently spent four nights at the Disney All-Star Movie Resort and is very nice. The resort staff was very friendly and courteous, as were the driver's (of the buses) and Disney Park staff. The resort was kept very clean and our room was stocked with fresh linens and toiletry items daily. The food was "okay," due to lacking variety of items offered. Our family utilized the dining plan, which was somewhat confusing (i.e. deciphering between snacks and meals).
The room was small, however, it served our purpose, which was just to have a place to sleep. We spent very little time in our room, as there are so many other things to do outside of the resort. We greatly appreciated having access to the variety of (free) buses available to travel to the four Disney parks...I can't imagine staying somewhere where this service wasn't available. Thus, overall, I would definitely stay at a Disney All-Star Resort in the future, but would hope for better food variety/options to be available.

Wanted to take my small children to a resort that was kiddie and on a budget, but I was disgusted to find that most workers at this resort did not speak fluent English. It was beyond frustrating checking in, asking questions, ordering food, etc. Housekeeping did not come everday, instead I had to repeatedly call to ask for more towels and to empty out trash. Beds went unmade for days. Guests there were loud throughout the entire night, which is realize wasn't any fault of Disney's, but it demonstrates the type of people that visit this resort. Not worth the savings... I'll definitely be booking a moderate level resort next trip. Extremely annoyed.

We have been to Disney before but this was the first time staying on Disney property and it was the best experience we have ever had!!!! The resort was nice and clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Would for sure stay here again. Everything is in walking distance. All of the All Star Resorts are next to each other and we walked threw all 3 of them and I liked the Movies Resort the best. They have lots of different activities to do for all ages. It was nice to just hopp on the bus and it would take you to the park you wanted to go. All I can say is that it is VERY NICE!!!!!!

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. I would have rather spent more money for a better place. It was the smallest room I had ever stayed in. We had to sleep in separate beds because the beds were so small. We couldn't even walk around without running in to something or each other. I do NOT know how a family of 4 could stay there. It was very sad that Disney came up with this "family value". We will NOT be going there again.

We stayed at this resort from January 23 to January 26, just before our Disney Cruise. The hotel is showing signs of its age but was clean. The room and bathroom are very small as other reviews have indicated. There is a nice large pool area with daily activities and a toddlers pool and a very small run thru area. There is a nice little playground for the young children. Right by the large pool is a bar which is a nice feature to get a cocktail while at the pool. We went to the Magic Kingdom park one day and the bus ride was a nice 20 minute trip. The bus stop is located near the front entrance and well marked. The staff is all very friendly and helpful. The food court was very good, with good food choices. The cost of food was the same as at the parks. The food choice was good for a short trip but would be limited for a longer stay. The only real complaint we would have is the shower did not drain and you would have water up to your ankles while showering. They sent someone to fix it and it was worse than it was initially. If you get room 9956, maybe check to see how the shower drains when you get there.

Room Tip: If you don't like small rooms, you may want to up-grade to a larger room or stay at a different...
