“simply the best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2010

we just returned from point orlando on 4th june, this is our second visit to this hotel. we went to get married in orlando, family and friends also went with us this trip, because we had stayed here last year we knew exactly what we were getting,we think that this hotel is the perfect base for your orlando holiday. I got in touch with the hotel before hand and asked for specific rooms if possible and every request i asked for was they done without any hesitation, on the day of my wedding my daughter wanted a hairdresser and went to reception to ask for there advice as to where was best to go and they said leave it with us for 1 hour when she returned to reception they had checked everywhere and had addresses, prices they also found someone who would come to the hotel if we needed them too, they were amazing. If you go to orlando go to the pirates dinner and pay the extra to be a v.i.p. it is well worth it. we will be going back very soon.

My husband and I stayed at the Point for three nights during our vacation to the theme parks. The hotel was right across the street from Wet and Wild, about 5 minutes from Universal and 15 from Disney. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist and a very clean lobby. Our one bedroom suite was exactly like the photos showed! We were on the 10th floor overlooking universal... great view. The pool was nice and the resort is currently building a pool side bar and grill. Overall great resort.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and we were very impressed by the quality of the accomodation. The kitchen was very well equipped; one of the bathrooms also had spa bath fitted & large shower area; TV lounge area in our room had a flat screen with good channel selection. The hotel staff we met were all very helpful. Each suite room is air conditioned (a must !) & comfortable. We had a suite on the upper floors & offered good views over to Universal area & Int Drive areas. Universal is about 25 mins walk away or 5 min drive & hotel offered an efficient courtesy bus option as well. Convenient for Universal Boulevard; Int Drive.& access to main routes (e.g. I-4). Hotel is located just off Universal Boulevard that is quieter & less built up than Int Drive. Parking at Hotel is also easy. Hotel reception area is really nice & we used the pool on most days. The Point is a really good option for a 2 week stay; having kitchen, washing machine, dryer facilities was really useful. Hotel had a breakfast option & night bar though we did not try. The GYM facilities also looked good though did not use ! A safe facility is available at reception only & we used.
We really enjoyed our stay at The Point & hotel met / even exceeded expecatations.

stayed in this hotel for 14 days from the 11th may to the 25th inclusive in a two bedroomed suite and i couldnt find a fault in anything, rooms were very spacious and spotless fully equipped with full kitchen amenities: cooker, fridge freezer, washing machine/tumble dryer, dishwasher etc. seperate bedroom had kitchenette and coffee making facilities as well as seperate bathroom facilities. situated approx 5 minute stroll from international drive and all its restaurants and bars and theres an i-ride trolley stop outside the hotel which brings you all up along international drive to the outlets and sea world and passes for that were only $17 for the two weeks. overall i would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort and an ideal location, the staff couldnt be more helpful in particular Fabio in guest services who was a major help to my party when it came to helping out with a member of my party who was in a wheelchair and i would recommend it to anyone looking for wheelchair accessible bathrooms and shower facilities. we greatly enjoyed our stay here and we will return to this hotel again in the future.

The Point Orlando Resort is a great hotel. I stayed there with my 2 children May 29-31, 2010. The staff is very professional, courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. The 1 bedroom suite was great and the king bed was very comfortable. The pool is a good size and at one end the depth goes down to 3 feet and a few inches, which is just right for kids. There is a good fitness center near the pool. The breakfast buffet is really good, too, and came with a large fresh fruit salad and Starbucks coffee. The hotel is within easy walking distance to Wet N Wild and several good restaurants. There was nothing I did not like about the hotel and I would definitely stay there again!
